Not sure if serious.

He has some level of dementia clearly. I don’t think he’s involved in day to day decision making. He probably sits in a meeting or two a day.

“This indirectly has a lot to do with the hostage deal & what’s going on in the Middle East…There’s some movement. There’s been a response…from Hamas, but it seems to be a little over the top.”

Where Trump’s mental capacity issues lead to him spewing word salad, Joe has trouble finding words all the time. In that clip he had to get reeled back in by a helpful reporter.

My ideal would be them both to back out before the election. Neither is very capable at this point. We have to save democracy by voting for one of two options that won’t even be in charge of the administration. Great.

Well, let's see.  One guy has demonstrated a clear ability to get things done that are beneficial to our country, and the other tried to overthrow our government.

So no, they're not the same, regardless of whether either or both have reduced cognitive abilities.

Maybe ideally we would want younger, more capable leaders but we never get the 2 candidates that we want.

When comparing our 2 options, I will go with a diminished Biden over the chaos of Trump. Does someone really want to repeat 2017-Jan 2021 as opposed to 2021 to today? It’s not a close race how much better today is.

Stop engaging GRU’s 8th handle.

They are the leaders we deserve, not the ones we need.

Diminished-capacity Biden will ask his Chief of Staff for a pen when he’s holding one.

Diminished-capacity Trump will threaten to launch nukes in an all-caps tweet.

I had naively thought/hoped that nominating a former hedge funder immediately following a black swan type financial crisis would be the stupidest presidential nomination I would encounter in my life.

Well here we are

You people do realize that Biden has said these exacts sort of things for decades. It isn't dementia, it's just getting exaggerated as he ages.

My all time favorite Biden moment, "Stand up Chuck", to Chuck Graham, who is in a wheelchair. This was 15 years ago.

Biden called Milosovic and a Putin war criminals. President Trump  saluted a North Korean officer’s giant hat.

I wish he would say the same thing to Abbott today.

I’ll probably write in the same I did last cycle. Amash. That’s wasn’t exactly a secret if you paid attention.

Not a hard bar to clear when the forced choice options are HRC/trump/biden.

If by “make an impact” you mean “stack the dead brown people highest”, probably not the best choice.

More people showed up to vote yesterday for an uncontested, uncompetitive NV Dem primary than they did in 2020 in the NV caucus that featured Saint Bernie, Biden, Warren and Pete.

When would he do that?  There are numerous occasions over the last 4 years where he shuffles off the stage after blabbering something incoherent, then complains about "they are going to be mad at me".

Biden won’t sit for interview with CBS before Super Bowl

It’s good that Biden won’t do an interview before the Super Bowl, which is a football game everyone likes.  Saturating every public venue with politics is garbage totalitarian shit and something only the far left and right want to do. (See the inability to just fucking enjoy or not care about Kelce-Swift).

Good news- no charges for POTUS

BREAKING: Special counsel declines to prosecute President Biden in handling of classified documents. https://t.co/RDaNVHNlSh

Bad news is that’s because they don’t think a jury would convict due to him being mentally unfit.

It's actually even worse than I said. I was just paraphrasing based on what I heard on the radio. Now I've looked at the report and it calls him "a sympathetic, well-meaning elderly man with a poor memory." Here's the full excerpt:

Here another direct passage from special counsel.

The special counsel report says that Biden did not remember “even within several years” when his son beau biden died.

Or, when his Vice Presidency ended.

So, who’s really making the calls? Sullivan? Kamala?

Time for Kamala or Newsome imo.

#635

Oh yes, we should take the Republican ratfucker who wants to be the next Brett Kavanaugh at his word.

#637

Topline - no charges, Biden did nothing illegal

The rest is there to obscure and spin

I mean, you and the rest of the GOP base could have elevated a viable alternative that wasn't clearly inferior to a "sympathetic, well-meaning elderly man with a poor memory"... but you chose instead enroll as a card-carrying member of Cult 45, so here we are.

I think nobody gets mileage out of this.  To someone sympathetic to Biden, Biden’s quotes read like offhanded thinking-as-he’s-speaking comments.  To someone that wants to see dementia, they can.

I’m going to record the state of the union and make my maga in-laws watch it later where I can force them to watch the full thing, not the spliced up parts where he stutters and Fox News claims he’s about to die.

I don’t know man. This seems like political poison to me. I’d vote for Biden if he was in a persistent vegetative state as long as the other option is Trump. But this shit will lose an election in the close states. If Biden stays in and seems even a little doddering during a debate or other high impact event, Trump is elected president, legitimately, and there goes the Republic.

#645

I find it notable that the one quote that isn’t included is the one that would be most significant — not knowing “within several years” when Beau died.  That’s the one that would be most meaningful to show he’s losing it if it really is that bad. But that’s the one that we have to guess at how bad it really is.

Oh I’m same. Definitely terrified of Trump.  I think it was longhornmatt that said if he had to say Haley was President right now, he’d take it.  Absolutely my take.

I just think this is the sort of document that disappears and is papered over with a few TV appearances where he comes off normal enough.

Who is actually in charge? If he’s too mentally incompetent to be charged with crimes then he should resign immediately

I don’t get this take. What have you seen that makes you think she won’t be absolutely beholden to the GQP base?  It’s their only play other than getting all stabby.

Trump was uniquely bad.  Haley would be GHWB, Dole, GWB, McCain, Romney.  One was a threat to the existence of our country.  One is not.
