My guess is that it will only rain, and that it will pour hard when it does, when I’ve got my kids out trick or treating. As soon as we get home it’ll stop.

Except in Bee Cave, where it will rain gently and thoroughly all week long, providing a thorough soaking but never flooding, except from 4PM - 10 PM on Halloween night when it will be gloriously dry and clear, temps in the low 70s, and a choir of angels singing whilst delivering free beer to every household.

It won’t rain for shit until Saturday at 1pm right around the time Austin Food + Wine Fest starts, and then it’ll pour the next two days.

No big deal. All the attendees shop at REI and have plenty of rain gear they do not use often.

West Houston got an actual soak tonight. First meaningful rain since Beryl I think.

Fuck this rain event and the weather weasels. Rain keeps getting pushed back like our O Line vs. Georgia (too soon?).

Of course, we will flood now. Monday into Tuesday morning.

My front yard might be reaching new levels of dead. It wasnt much to start with as the weeds and various grasses rarely make it past July, but now it looks like you are staring at a black and white photo of my yard. Its impressive.

Wunderground went from like .5  to 2.5"+ for west Austin.

I am skeptical.

We got both rain and sunshine together in ‘59.

Mine went from a little less than an inch to 3.5 inches. No fucking chance

Just saw that. Holy shit balls. Got almost a 1/4” earlier this afternoon. 2+ inches on top of that would be wild. Obviously not gonna happen. Gotta be a whoopsie on their end

Bullshit.
