Very strong La Niña is coming soon. 2025-26 will likely rival 2010-11 for the worst summers ever. Yay!

Last summer was child’s play compared to what’s coming.

We aren’t getting shit today. Maybe tomorrow or Sunday.

Yep.  I just got this message from this coming summer:

tombstone-hells-coming-with-me.jpg

I got a new HVAC system last summer which is the only thing keeping me in this apt.

If that thing fails its all over, man.

Hellacious constant thunder woke me up in RR at 5am. Then had about 20 minutes of torrents of rain, and some very small hail.

Sunny and clear in Comal County. Lulz.

Never gonna rain here again

I'm gonna go look at the stars, since they're out, since it's not raining.

Laredo getting fucking pounded by a ginormous super cell that's been dropping probably huge tornadoes over Mexico for the past four hours or so. Tennis ball hail and 70mph winds.

... Not that it helps us at all. Fucking bullshit weather day.

Define "excessive."

I received 0.04" since yesterday.

We were camping in brazos bend last night. Got heavy rain around 6p plus haul, then a break until sometime around midnight I guess. Crazy amount of lightning. On our way out today, not far from the park, we saw a power line pole snapped in half and tbe wooden fence farther off the road looked like something ran through it. Wild night.

got an 1.25" in 30 minutes yesterday per flood control

I can already see the split coming. We'll get some drizzle from the outskirts of some wild storm to our south and east, and another line with travel west of us.

Didn't get shit, piss, or fuck in NW Travis.

The Austin FF farts in this storm's general direction.

Dry air pushing in from the west about to fuck us again. This system fucked around for too long- too little, too late.

It’s so shitty that every forecasted “significant multi-day rain event” always seems to get squashed down to a few hours of an overnight MCS moving through on the way out.

I dunno dude I think it may actually be happening.

I opened a bottle of wine that my wife is gonna be mad at me for opening when she wakes up but I wanted to stay up and savor this if it happened.

Oh it’s definitely gonna rain some. Just not exactly what could’ve been. I suppose I shouldn’t bitch.

Enjoy the wine, good luck in the morning…

I decided a few days ago to blow my mulched leaves into the street at the consternation of my neighbors because I was convinced the upcoming monsoon would wash them away into the greenbelt the same day. Hoping tonight grants me that wish before my neighbors come at me with pitchforks.

I was out like a light but at some point in the middle of the night we had a big lightning strike quite nearby (2222/360),  Woke up this morning and our power had gone out.  Thanks, Greg.

Well, it’s not entirely false. The projected risk was excessive.

I take back what I said about no rain. Nice rain overnight. Not what we needed, but I will take it. Now come the mosquitos.

.8 inches since midnight at the LCRA gauge down the street.  I'll take it.

So will a certain posters mom.

El Nino is a crock of shit. Yay, a quarter inch.

image.png.27a8d3869934b12be57da1aaea8c95b6.png

A rainy day that's so not rainy this thread doesn't even get bumped.

March looking like it will come it at under 1" at my place (forecast through the end of the month is "drier than normal.")

Thanks El Nino.

Line is building out west. What will forcefield do?

Wunderground saying chance for small hail. To tempt fate I will put out some nice plants. You can thank me later.

Mr. McKittrick, after very careful consideration, sir, I've come to the conclusion that your new El Nino sucks.
