I'll take the guy who just made the Serie A team of the season and who has the best goals to caps ratio in USMNT history despite playing on the wing for the worst manager in USMNT history.

It’s hilarious how Juventus writes Weston McKennie off every year; he plays and proves his worth. Anyway, here is his Champions League goal in his ‘surprise’ appearance. BTW coming off a double-digit assist season💅🏼#USMNT https://t.co/CJ1cbCyO15

pulisic!!! takes the ball maybe 40 yards and finishes it himself. great goal.

Juventus’ first goal happens because Weston McKennie nudges a opponent who has jumped in the air to head the ball, but only subtly enough so that the opponent doesn’t crash to the ground or even complain to the ref.

But the opponent jumps, McKennie nudges the guy out of the ball’s trajectory, McKennie knocks the ball to a teammate who immediately passes it to the guy who scored.

100% a hockey assist and Juventus doesn’t even have the ball if he doesn’t foul the guy or if he fouls the guy too hard.

Nooooo!!!!!

Now we’re going to end up  in Pot 1 for the 2026 World Cup draw!

😱

Why is Mexico ranked anywhere close to us? We've demolished them head-to-head for years and it's not like they've had better results than us in tournaments.

This isn't about the pots. This is about how our team is performing relative to everyone else. We are playing shitty. And these ranking show this.

Ranking are similar to ELO rankings, so it’s not just about the wins and losses, but who they are over too. Some of our losses are bad.

You fail to realize that this doesn’t matter for shit.

in the past, we would have been affected by the nose dive required to jettison that loser manager.

This year it means absolutely nothing.

Enjoy it.

CHRISTIAN PULISIC OPENS THE SCORING AGAINST INTER MILAN IN THE DERBY!!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

#2664

One of the biggest goals of his career, frankly. Inter had won 6 straight over them - including both legs of the UCL semis in 2022.

Really important early season result for the Rossoneri.

USMNT playmaker Malik Tillman with a BEAUTY of a free kick for PSV for his second goal of the match 🔥https://t.co/vZx9MNVY2A

Comments are wild.  Fuck Vazquez for even trying to pull that bullshit.  I know who I'd bet still being on that roster next season (if he's not sold/loaned).

I’m most offended by Vazquez’s peluqueria choices. ¡Qué feo!

I seriously fucking doubt Sullivan is going to play another season for Philly 2.

If you mean who you'd bet on making the 1st team then yes 😁

Coach seems like an upgrade. They're rolling since that Pool game.

USMNT striker Ricardo Pepi finally gets a start for PSV … and bags a brace in a 2-0 win! 🇺🇸🔥

What a finish from 15-year-old Cavan Sullivan to equalize 😮‍💨🔥 https://t.co/CjMyFPnOs2

I don't like the selfishness to take that shot and how he celebrated the goal. Attitude red flags imo.

I mean, there was no reason to leap over a dude laying on his back there.  I don't know anything about him, but that looks pretty shitty.

He turned 15 two days ago. I'm not all that concerned with micro character judgements.

Seems like he has a good head on his shoulders and the right people around him.

The training camp is actually in Austin?  Is the public allowed to watch any of it?

If the omission you're referring to is Gio, isn't he still recovering from a groin injury?

#2690

"From the moment that we were in New York for the announcement, we started to work with many things by zoom, by phone, watching games."Says he only just got his U.S. work visa yesterday, calls it a "nightmare" process. #USMNT

Mauricio Pochettino gets very passionate talking about how he wants the #USMNT to "enjoy when we don't have the ball.""We need to show that we are a real team. We need to not only play pretty football, we need to enjoy defending and be strong to win the ball back."

Pochettino on choosing a #USMNT captain: "We have many players who are leaders. People will tell me 'this one's a leader, this one's not a leader' but I want to discover for myself. The priority is to feel free, to act in a natural way, and behave as who they are."

#2691

I like this first game with Pochi as the new coach. Panama is exactly the sort of head pounding challenge that's always frustrated me. You know going into the match that they're going to play 9 behind the ball and foul hard every chance they get. You know CONCACAF is going to allow it. Now how do you tactically solve it?

This is where the USMNT leaks points. Panama will play for the draw from the outset. Skill-wise, they should be overwhelmed. Beating the big dog(s) is great and all, but when we draw against Panama, Honduras, or Guatemala, the loss of points is crippling.

#2694

Reyna is the least "interesting" omission I can think of LOL. First name that sprung to mind.

Like others said though I'm not sure he's even fit enough to be called up.

#2696
USMNT head coach Mauricio Pochettino says the team will play with two primary formations: 4-2-3-1 and 4-3-3. The team is going to be 'very, very demanding' when we lose the ball and be 'desperate to recover it' as soon as possible.

this is the same way i felt when the cubs hired joe maddon and theo epstein, and when texas hired chris beard. i have gone from dejected to

overnight. we’ve gone from “guaranteed to embarrass ourselves and waste our golden generation” to “we’re finally taking this shit seriously” and it feels so, so good.
