I'll take the guy who just made the Serie A team of the season and who has the best goals to caps ratio in USMNT history despite playing on the wing for the worst manager in USMNT history.

Wouldn't call that a "goalazo" - well hit though.

World Class, indeed

CHRISTIAN PULISIC WITH AN UNBELIEVABLE FIRST TIME VOLLEY TO BRING AC MILAN LEVEL. ARE YOU SERIOUS?!?!?A WORLD CLASS FINISH! 🔥HE'S SCORED IN FOUR CONSECUTIVE LEAGUE MATCHES FOR THE FIRST TIME IN HIS CAREER! 🇺🇸📈(via @CBSSportsGolazo)

#2707

Maybe put him on the fucking spot next game you clowns. Theo and Tammy both missed pens?

#2708
In February, Christian Pulisic was named AC Milan's designated penalty taker.Pulisic has NEVER missed a penalty in his professional career for both club and country. He's 10/10.After his pass drew the penalty against Fiorentina, Theo Hernández stepped up to take it & missed.

I wouldn't mind seeing Pulisic stay in Milan as long as he's happy there and continues to work on his game.

Whether by luck or design (Serie A isn't as physical as the EPL), Puli has stayed relatively healthy and seen a lot of the pitch since moving to Italy. As a result, he's in best-ever form.

#2715

Looks like Pulisic is going to increase his goal tally this season. Theo Hernandez and Tammy Abraham each missed a pk yesterday for Milan.

Mauricio Pochettino gets his full staff that has been with him mostly since the beginning at Espanyol. Credit to US Soccer for giving him the freedom to bring his own guys & not forcing unwanted members of the ol' boys club onto his staff. https://t.co/XuUOlGUdLM

Jesus Perez, Miki D’Agostino and Toni Perez officially named to Mauricio Pochettino’s staff. They’re joined by experienced sports scientist Sebastiano Pochettino (son of the new #USMNT boss) and strength and conditioning coach Silvia Tuya Viñas. https://t.co/uvVJyjEH1Q

“Experienced sports scientist” [Nepo Baby]

😂

Just say “…his son Sebastiano Pochettino, who provides sports science, and…”

Adding the adjective “experienced” just draws attention to the nepo hire.

These hires exist everywhere from the sports world to the dentist’s office to law firms.

We need more “VAMOS” in our soccer world.

Oh to have a side job where the boss asks you to please just try to focus for 40 minutes.

Pulisic is 6th in Serie A across all players (somehow behind Leao).

Dude in 1st has only played half as many mins and De Gea is obviously not an outfielder.

What is “PS%”, because it is good, then Christian is killing everyone!

I think it's pass success/completion %.

I know that his conversion rate on scoring is through the roof. His xg numbers are good but his goals scored is obviously phenomenal to start the season.

Thanks.

I intended to write:

They've been a failure. I was checking the stats - they are among the worst teams in the MLS. Going into the last game, they are in last place in the East and would be 2nd to last overall. They could improve this, but right now, it's bad. Let's see Gregg work his magic.

Makes me almost wish they were mid table to watch them drift toward that bottom dweller status.  If there are any Gergg defenders out there, they'll be thumping their chests if he gets them up near the Atlanta range.

In the media clips I've seen, most pundits have Pulisic behind only Thuram in Serie A.

I'd love to say we've come a lone way, but have we really?

35 years ago today, in the middle of a Civil War, an empty stadium, armed commandos, and one of the worst Concacaf-y fields you’ve ever seen, the #USMNT drew 0–0 with Guatemala in a World Cup qualifier. Here’s a typical passage of play:— New Kids In The World Cup (book) (@NewKidsWorldCup)

Yeah I was going to say you could make the case he's been the MVP of the league so far.

Certainly in Serie A's best XI.

Nah this is insane

What part of that is "insane"? I'm assuming most NT's take it easy in training. Ream has played across 4, 5 managers?

Let's see it on the pitch.

🗣️ “YOU LOSE THE BALL, YOU RUN!”

This isn’t normal, to run players into the ground during international windows (other than before a major tournament), but I think that Mauricio is trying to figure out who really wants it.

Exactly. These guys play so many fucking games. I would assume they have abridged training work during intl windows.

I'm glad he's pushing them - but so much of our fanbase is just fucking clueless and doesn't understand how any of this works. On ig there was a slideshow featuring "day 2 arrivals" and it included Musah but not CP and a lot of us were wondering where Pulisic was and someone comments "at Milan". Like, hey dipshit, his fucking teammate is there.

Someone else comments - on the same post - "What happened to Jordan Pefok?"

we’ve had plenty of reasons to have longer, more strenuous training sessions over the past 14 years. we missed out on a world cup for christ’s sake. we got punked by a bunch of mid tier concacaf teams. the idea that a two hour training session is something we’ve never done before is wild.

I think it's presumptuous for any fans to act like they know how long a typical NT training session should go. Let's not pretend like you or I know how long other, top NTs are spending on the field during breaks like this.

Poch may be overworking them for all we know. He doesn't have NT experience.

Hence why I don't really give a fuck and am going to judge the process on the results.

#2747

You think the fuckin Germans are worried about how intense their international trainings are? FUCK NO. Get em Poch IDGAF

Fantastic week in Austin so far. Can't wait for tomorrow. 🇺🇸

Never want to complain about getting national games in your own town, but this was terrible scheduling by USMNT.  That stadium is going to look brutal on tv tomorrow.
