July 13, 20187 yr You just missed the Steam summer sale. Bummer. Best tip I can give you is never pay full price for a PC game.

July 13, 20187 yr I'd listen to MillerEp. Dude has the biggest library out of all my friends on Steam.
July 13, 20187 yr Author Thanks MillerEP. Yeah I grew up on all the old school titles you recommended. I didn't have a console, I went from Atari 2600 to Tandy PC. I'll look into all of those games. Thanks for the recs!

I was thinking od adding EU and CK on the list, but I figured they might be too advanced for somebody getting back into PCs. If you're up for the challenge though, feel free, you can grab them pretty cheap.
July 15, 20187 yr Puzzlequest 1 and 2 are a lot of fun, but you can get those on your phone. Great to pickup and play whenever. If you like tower defense games, Defense Grid 1&2 are awesome. https://store.steampowered.com/app/221540/DG2_Defense_Grid_2/ A friend of mine from college helped make this game, which is also pretty fun: https://store.steampowered.com/app/218410/Defenders_Quest_Valley_of_the_Forgotten_DX_edition/ Cities Skyline is the best Simcity game ever made.

They had that questionnaire before you could play to try and make sure you were old enough. I would yell downstairs to my parents asking questions. I would write down the answers...
August 6, 20187 yr Author Yeah, so still not much of a gamer.. Nothing has really kept my attention. I bought various stuff on sale or free with my Shield TV Golf with friends - working on Controller issues. I like mini golf though. Stardew Valley - Played quite a bit. It seems fun No Mans Sky Next - Got diseased right away, I need to read up. Captain Spirit - Crazy story about a kid being beat by his dad. Doom - I remember why I liked it as a kid, and it still holds up. Surviving Mars Raft Tabletop Simulator Forza Horizon 3 - I prefer the Motorsport. This is just all over the place. Far Cry 5 - haven't played Banished - haven't played Just Cause 3 - Free on Shield. Haven't played. I remember liking the original one on my PS3 Downloaded to try out: All the Telltale - Haven't played yet Forza Motorsport 7 - I am really digging this. Firewatch - Completed. It was an ok story. GTA5 - I have gotten further than I did with my jailbroke ps3. I hate the driving around in this game though. Grim Fandango - Had issues on my Shield TV, but I will play on the PC House Flipper - Fun for the first hour. Then I'm like, why do I want to wave my mouse around to clean a place and click on bolts multiple times, when I hate doing that at home. Mad Max - It is ok. Rocket League - I read it is hard. I played around in the tutorial. Seems like a game that would only be fun with friends. Sniper Elite 4 - controller problems, SE 2 is free on Shield TV, so I started playing that. It is fun. Subnautica - Got tired of getting a breath. The oxygen tank sucks. Super Mega Baseball 2 - Seems fun. A lot of buttons to remember. The Forest - The cannibals took me right away. Have to read up The Long Dark - ehh. The Witcher 3 - Played to the first Tavern. Seems like fun. This War of Mine - problems with the joystick on the Shield TV Xcom 2 - I played the shit out of the original xcom game back in the day. I haven't tried it yet Portal 2 - Confusing, but I need to read up where I am stuck and after I get the hang of it I think I will like it, as I love puzzles. The Witness - I'm digging this alot. I will buy it. When I built the PC, I just used an IDE drive. I just bought a SSD, so I reinstalled windows. I've been to lazy to reinstall games again, but the PC is running way faster. Yeah I just wait for them to go on sale and buy a ton and never play them. It depresses me looking at my steam library, it's all shit I used to want to play but never got around to
August 30, 20187 yr Author I got into Valiant Hearts. Great game. I played it nonstop. I liked the puzzles weren't too hard, but hard enough. Great storyline, and the ability to read more about the war and about specific items you pick up. I hated the fast button mashing of the nurse trying to save people, but I was able to get through it after multiple tries until the 4th Chapter. I got fed up and quit. I need to go back and try again.Hopefully I can finish it, but the fast reflex button mashing is my gripe on the game, otherwise it is a GREAT game.
