I mean, I would say that spray painting "fuck cops" on your driveway doesn't immediately breach the peace and that First Amendment rights supersede. But as I stated earlier, the dude apparently has a shitload of cash squirreled away, so minor fines, arrests, etc., don't really have much of an impact. In fact, it seems like this is what he wants. We did call the cops on the trash bags to say that (and this is legitimate) we were concerned he might put bombs in them. So we'll see what happens there. Probably a whole bunch of nothing. I haven't heard of him screaming at people from his front porch in a while. Probably because it's too fucking hot.
July 19, 20187 yr Didn't occur to me until now, but in Texas purple paint means "no trespassing" in some instances. Wonder if that's why he chose that color? Nah, maybe just purple hazed.

July 19, 20187 yr I would assume that the trash bags would be an easy code violation if nothing else.
July 19, 20187 yr In proper X-Files fashion, OP needs to research old county records where he will find that every 39 years, back as far as he can go, a person just like this neighbor has moved into the area and performed similar rites, until one night when he and several of the neighbors disappear.

July 19, 20187 yr It seems like him going into other neighbor's yards would be a trespassing offense. Especially if he is approaching little kids to give them unknown objects. Get a parent with a kid who he has approached to file a restraining order against him. Then when he steps foot on their property again call the cops. Also, every immediate neighbor of his needs to have a caMera pointed towards his house for security purposes.
July 19, 20187 yr Yes, every person on the street needs to drop a Criminal Trespass Notice on him right away. Have one cop come and fill out everyone's at the same time and have him deliver them all at once. And then buy cameras and directly point them at his house.

If Dude is a warlock (what, y'all think he isn't?), better point those cameras every which way including down and up. If everybody is focused on him, they'll never see the things he is summoning until they appear from miles around.

July 20, 20187 yr Why hasn't the parents of any of the kids he talked to or offered shit to just kick his ass? Sometimes the best solution is the simplest.
July 20, 20187 yr Yeah if a guy like that approached one of my kids out in the yard he would be leaving in an ambulance. I don'ttake chances with my kids. I really think the criminal trespass charges are the way to go. Especially by playing it up as a safety issue for the kids of the neighborhood.
July 20, 20187 yr Would OP please post daily photos so we can see progress on the performance art? Thanks.
July 20, 20187 yr Author There was one report of him approaching a kid in the neighborhood adjacent to ours. It hasn't happened since. If he would have approached my kids he would have been handed an ass-kicking. I'll go by later today to check out the new graffiti. He typically adds something to the house every day.
July 20, 20187 yr Author Just talked to my wife, who was walking the dog and ran into one of Chad's immediate neighbors. Neighbor said he was involuntarily committed for the umpteenth time yesterday but he'll be out again in a few days. Neighbor heard from one of the cops that when they searched his house they found guns, and that those guns have been seized. Cop said he won't be able to get them back because people who have been involuntarily committed can't own guns. But a different officer said that the guns must be legally returned to him after a period of time. So that's pretty fucking awesome that a diagnosed paranoid schizophrenic drug addict may be able to legally own guns in Texas.

BATF form 4473: 11.e. Are you an unlawful user of, or addicted to, marijuana or any depressant, stimulant, narcotic drug, or any other controlled substance? 11.f. Have you ever been adjudicated as a mental defective OR have you ever been committed to a mental institution? https://www.atf.gov/firearms/docs/4473-part-1-firearms-transaction-record-over-counter-atf-form-53009/download One of the more recent active shooter incidents involved someone that had their firearms confiscated. Because he wasn't legally entitled to possess the weapons, they were later released to a family member (who then later gave them to the perp). It appears your crazy neighbor is not legally entitled to possess any firearms, so I would think that any firearms confiscated by the police would similarly be released to a family member or something.
July 20, 20187 yr Author I hope you're right. Although that doesn't mean he can't get a gun illegally. But if he keeps getting committed and the cops search his house and find a gun that he shouldn't own, that might be a way to put him away for a while.
July 20, 20187 yr One would think that will all the press about mental health issues and gun ownership around, that the authorities might "misplace" those firearms. And what the in actual fuck? How many times has he been involuntarily committed? Isn't there some sort of three strike rule with this shit?

July 20, 20187 yr I suggest that, when he gets out of the looney bin, you guys have a bunch of pizzas sent to his house that he didn't order. That'll drive him crazy.

July 20, 20187 yr Maybe this guy is a genius? Move into neighborhood, fuck up house, everyone moves and sales cheap, buy properties, bulldoze and turn them into overpriced condos, profit.
July 22, 20187 yr My friend is a realtor trying to sell the house next door or two down from this guy. They are re-evaluating strategies.

July 22, 20187 yr What's a sober living house because that sounds awful. Alcoholic and addicts live there in the early part of their recovery. Basically stay sober, get a job and piece your life back together the best you can. And then get on with living.
July 22, 20187 yr ...in a neighborhood of owner occupied single family houses.Oh, I had no idea, they already have enough problems with a nut job neighbor spray painting fuck the police on his house and of course the unassuming neighbor who has a closet full of kiddie porn. The last thing those families need is a group of sober people!
July 22, 20187 yr On the one hand, I understand the reservations one would have about a sober living house nearby. On the other hand, take irish's neighbor - if his story has a conclusion that doesn't wind up with him dead or in prison, it is not unlikely that it will involve a sober living house somewhere along the way. A whole lotta people struggle with alcoholism, some of them have spotty records, a large portion of them could recover and go back to being productive members of society, sober living is a halfway stop between rehab and stability.

The guy had a sex offender living there. Yeah, the neighbors weren’t happy. Sorry. It’s against HOA regs to turn your house into a duplex building with 2 separate entrances too. He did that and had 8-10 people living there. They parked all over the street, which is also against regs. The fact that it was a sober house wasn’t really the big issue. I’m actually sensitive to it because my brother lived in one for 3 months after treatment. He’s 10 years sober next month. Edited July 22, 20187 yr by 4th&Five

That, and then there's the fact that for a decent-sized neighborhood, holding say 100 adults, there's already 10 active addicts living right there in the 'hood. Doing erratic shit, driving around schnockered, diddling kids, what have you.
