  • Hey guys, Rarely post over here, but travelled out to London for work and made the pilgrimage on my free, insanely sleep-deprived Saturday. It was funny, I hadn't been to the UK since I was a kid

  • Alright, down 4-0 25 minutes in, let's watch body language and see if we fall apart.

  • Surprised their bench has that many Chelsea fans

He keeps practicing he might be going places.

Didn't get to watch the game and recording didn't work.  Sounds like we took advantage of our openings and got some balls that bounced our way.  Hazards goal is dumb.

Bats scored yesterday as well to become the first player in the 21st century to score in La Liga, EPL, Bundesliga, and Ligue 1.

Snake started for RM yesterday and played like shit giving up 3 goals in the first half, one by Bats.

I’m wondering if Luiz is drunk right now. His first 5 minutes have been frightening.

God damnit Willian. Gotta do better than that.

Hazard shows Willian how it’s done!!!

It's Eden Hazard's world, we just lucky to be alive right now

Feels like we are a top flight striker and an upgraded winger (i.e., better than Willian) away from being pretty fucking dominant.

Giroud has been invisible and Willian has been disappointing in the first half. Sure wish we had better players at those spots to keep defenders from swarming Hazard at all times.

Agree on replacing Giroud.  But I like Willian; I think he just needs more regular playing time.  He looks like he's always trying to shake off a little rust, or maybe he's pressing too hard because he's trying to win more time.  But a couple of years ago when he played every weekend, he was really fucking good.

Helluva save, but that chance only happened because of a horrible pass by Willian.

Sigh. Needed a better first touch. Again.

"Giroud is gonna come off"

First time his name's been mentioned in an hour.

Salah coming off. Can’t say it isn’t warranted. He’s wasted multiple chances today.

Whew. Too fucking close for comfort.

Interesting that Barkley is the one that came on to refresh the midfield. I would have assumed RLC would be given that role to bolster our defense.

That fucking sucked. We need someone that can threaten the net besides Hazard.

Disappointing to drop points, especially after being ahead for much of the game.

Overall, great game.  Both teams wanted it and both had multiple great chances.  Problem was, they have about 4 players that can score with any consistency, and we have 1.

also, I don’t like Kante that far forward.  He just feels out of place up there.

I’m with you here. I love Kante, but he’s not having the same impact on matches in that role. Not a good fit at all.

Mason Mount and Barkley called up to the England squad.

Oh man, Emerson with a couple of nice moves gets a great opportunity and whiffs.

Hazard coming on for Pedro as we can't score against whomever this is.

Holy shit, thank god.

Nice little cross into the box by Cesc, headed on by Willian and finished by Morata.

1-0 the good guys.

Kepa with a great game thus far.

If Kovacic ever learns to shoot he will be dangerous.

Like the points, match just felt uneven though.

Barkley continues an upswing.
Hazard POTY
Kepa looks comfortable back there
Geezer with a resurgence

Such a great team to watch. Would be nuts if Morata gets out of his own way.

Was watching our midfield control the game and was reminded of last years awful play, so I went over to the AC Milan boards to see how Baka was doing. Dont think he has played in a month and this thread summed up their opinion from his minimal playtime.

Wtf was up with Mou

Well, see, he's a douchebag.

Wagnh blurb on the game today.

Chelsea team news: Eden Hazard is out with a sore back, thanks to an unpunished scissor tackle by Ashley Young (thanks, Mike Dean). Sarri’s only hoping to have him back for the weekend. Ethan Ampadu is also out, still nursing the knee injury he picked up while playing for Wales. Maurizio Sarri has rotated liberally so far in the Europa League so we should expect more of the same. We might even see Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Andreas Christensen, but not Callum Hudson-Odoi. Sarri already confirmed that Jorginho will be rested.
Chelsea’s schedule lends itself very well to significant rotation — Premier League games alternating with easier Europa League or League Cup ties — so Sarri should be taking full advantage of this to keep the squad fresh as we into the winter months. Chelsea, who are still unbeaten after the weekend’s last gasp equalizer against Manchester United, will face Burnley away on Sunday before hosting Frank Lampard’s Derby County in midweek.

Good to see players stepping up with Hazard out. Barkley is going to make it hard to take him off the pitch if his current form holds.

Looks like Conte to Real Madrid is gaining steam. Good news for Chelsea if true as I doubt Hazard is anxious to work with Conte again and might sign a new contract. Also I'm certain after his 5-1 loss, Tbo isnt very high on his decision to jump ship.
