Tesla owners trying out the new "Mad Max" setting for Full-Self-Driving keep reporting that it breaks speed limits—in one case going almost twice as fast. The feature was rolled out just after NHTSA launched a probe into incidents where FSD ran red lights or drove on the wrong side of the road. https://www.rollingstone.com/culture/culture-features/tesla-mad-max-self-driving-mode-speed-limits-1235453121/

Tesla taxi and Optimus robot featured prominently on CNBC this morning, along with Denholm.

I'm surprised that the Tesla earnings didn't make more of a dent here. Despite the fact that revenue rose 12 percent, to $28.1 billion, profit fell 37 percent, to $1.4 billion from a year earlier. This was due to slashing prices on cars and the fact that there was a huge run on cars due to expiring Tax credits.

Given the expired credit, I can't see their next quarter's earning being that good at all.

Sounds like he needs a $1T pay package.

https://www.cnbc.com/2025/10/27/tesla-musk-pay-shareholder-vote.html

Shareholders must vote to pay Tesla CEO Elon Musk almost $1 trillion, or he might not stay, Board Chair Robyn Denholm warned in a letter Monday.

“Without Elon, Tesla could lose significant value, as our company may no longer be valued for what we aim to become,” Denholm wrote ahead of Tesla’s annual meeting on Nov. 6.

The shareholder vote for Musk’s pay and other proposals closes at 11:59 p.m. ET on Nov. 5.

Musk is key to the future of the EV maker as it moves beyond being “just another car company,” with a bigger focus on Full Self Driving and Optimus, Denholm argued.

Several groups have publicly opposed the pay package in recent days, with Institutional Shareholder Services, the biggest proxy advisory firm in the world, recommending against its “astronomical” value.

Last week, a group of unions and corporate watchdogs launched the Take Back Tesla website to oppose the pay package, noting Musk’s embracing of right-wing political movements and amplifying of conspiracy theories that have damaged the brand.

Musk lashed out at proxy firms as “corporate terrorists” on a post-earnings call with analysts last week.

Imagine another board saying that we have to give into the extortion demands of our CEO or he will quit.

how would Hitler poll in 1945? I'm betting bigger than 1%...

And Elon polls even worse than 1% among people who have actually met him.

What I love is the openly endorse concept that if only the UK could be rid of everyone but the native English and such, it would be a crime-free paradise.

Yeah.

They're not crimes when committed by pasty white boys, they're just little oopsies we shouldn't rush to punish them for because they've got such potential.

No shit. I'm old enough to remember when every country in Europe would have to call in the riot police whenever English soccer fans ventured onto the continent, and they still sometimes have to.

One of Elon Musk's most regular interlocutors is clear that he is using X to *advocate* a civil war in Britain - as necessary + essential, rather than fearing one.

Such an ass-backwards misunderstanding of LOTR .

Elon probably thinks Moby Dick is about how to hunt whales, Lord of the Flies is an island survival guide for pre-teens...etc.

grokipedia scrapped wikipedia and used that information and turned it essentially pro hitler and pro nazi

Since that skeet, the Hitler entry has been "fact checked by Grok" lmao

They work about half the time for me. If you open image in a new tab it will do the CAPTCHA and then you can see it. What my really sucks is almost all the gifs these days are on yarn. If you exclude yarn from the search on google there’s not much in the results
