A couple of us dads have setup some older computers for our kids it run as their Minecraft Java servers.  Our kids will spend a week or two discussing who will be playing, who will have admin/creative powers, what version of Minecraft Java they will deploy on it (a few older versions are preferred for whatever reasons that our kids have) and then they’ll spend another week or two discussing what mods they plan on installing and whether they have to tinker (hack as they say) with the version of Minecraft they are going to deploy.  And they’ll watch hours of YouTube for info on whatever it is they are setting up.
These are 9, 10, and 11 year olds.
They put more thought into the technical setup of their Minecraft games than Musk does for Twitter.

Now if he can just get nearly every cable and general tv streaming service to pay him $5/month (per subscriber)as Adolf Murdoch has, twitter will be golden. (and that way he could subsist off of mypillow schlock)

Yep. As it turns out, he’s just a stupid, delusional my pillow guy who made cars and Rockets instead of pillows.  Success in one business enterprise does not make you an intellectual who has mastered all things foreign policy and political. The curse of money combined with narcissism I suppose.

weird. I feel like I’ve seen this pattern before

Speak in vague generalities such as "the press" making no distinction between citizen journalists, Gateway Pundit, Washington Post, etc...

Present the false binary choice of EITHER believing the homogenized, monolithic misrepresentation of "the press" OR not.

Elmo doesn't even realize he's a part of the media/press industry, does he?

Isn't this an amazing self own for Elon? The so-called smartest guy in the room that has become deeply attached to a propaganda machine of *right-wing bloviation that proclaims to be philanthropic while gutting human rights accounts and restoring hate accounts to his platform in 'virtuous' defense of 'free speech?'

C'mon Elmo, ban the press and journalists.  Let's see how that does for traffic.

Luckily they seem easily identifiable given they often have an American flag, cross or gun emoji in their profile name.  And if not, they unironically use ‘woke’ regularly.

He already banned some journalist critical of him

*Maybe* Space Karen should have stayed in school and obtained a legit Bachelors degree, after all.

In theory the Super Big Game today should be a blockbuster advertising day for twitter. With a huge portion of the live viewers reloading the app over and over again for video replays, commentary, news reports, memes, anything else. Tens of thousands of tweets every minute, fans reloading and seeing a video ad in every fourth of fifth post in their feed. In practice, the same annoying guys who try to go viral with bad takes at every live event will be doing the same routine. Last year it was one guy tweeting about "sexual anarchy" or something like that then the other guy who gets exposure for tweeting about how great Kid Rock is. Some of these guys probably already have their hot takes about the half time show already loaded up.

It's just the half time show but these view counts in Trending seem laughably low.

Well, in Elon's worldview there is media and "media".

Welp there goes SpaceX contracts

Somebody should have a talk with him.  His fortunes in terms of SpaceX (government contracts)  and Tesla (car makers paying Tesla for carbon/CAFE credits) are derived from the government.   And he hangs out with Murdoch, the biggest of the media moguls, who also has the Saudis as investors.

Murdoch was trending but not Space Karen. He must've asked staff to rig what's trending so that he stays out of the trending column unless it's on a topic he wants.

Damn, long tweets suck. Facebook-ization of Twitter continues, just need some essential oils in my feed.

Not as dumb as people attempting to discuss a complex issue in 27 separate tweets , with each new tweet linked to the previous one (1/27,2/27, 3/27). That is a fucking beating.

how often do you see posts that are 27 different tweets outside of the dumb #TwitterFiles?

do you think it's going to be better to see a couple of thousand words from those people sprinkled in between a bunch of <280 character length comments? because it isn't.

you notice after being all hot and bothered about it he hasn't said jack about it since the information came out about how his kid may not have been in the car, how his security may have been the aggressors, how they weren't really close to an airport and how the guy was mentally ill?

assassination coordinates were just broadcasted live on TV for the Nth time and he has no issue with those.

what a joke.

Again, this sums it up perfectly.

Elon slams "the media" repeatedly.

Elon sits next to the billionaire owner and disseminator of right wing disinformation over multiple "media" outlets.

Elon fucking LOVES "the media," so long as it's favorable to him.  Every moment, he manages to become even more of a hypocritical piece of shit.  It's honestly impressive.

Did Space Karen say something about giant block lists being a problem? Hmmmm #BlockTheBlue is borne!

I may have to get an account just so I can join block 'em all.

Elon perfectly encapsulates the saying about "easy to fool someone, harder to convince them that they've been fooled".
