Elon is a garden-variety fascist.  He tries to dress it up, which does fool the rubes, but he's just a generic piece of shit like we've seen countless times before.  He just happens to have billions of dollars.  If he didn't, he'd be that toad who works in IT who listens to Rogan all day and who everyone hates having to talk to for even a millisecond.

Fuck him right in the pussy

I just find it FASCINATING that X has/is enforcing "Terms of Service."  Because from what I understand, the TOS says you can't threaten racial violence and shit....but fucking Elmo himself does it.  So, we all know that there's a complete double standard.  FFS, Elmo is all-in on his support of a candidate WHO OPENLY ASKED A FOREIGN POWER TO PROVIDE HIS OPPONENT'S EMAILS, so don't tell me shit about "oh no's, you can't post info hacked by a foreign power!"

Does it come with a jump seat for @MissingInAction? And I don't see any Longhorns on it. I think that is just a box you put over your Tesla.

(I know you don't drive one, that was more aimed at those who do.)

Longhorn magnets on the back tailgate.  Which I finally replaced a few years ago, after being busted for better than 10 years (I had the inner panel off, opened it by pulling the cable inside the tailgate).  She just turned 25 years old, drives just fine.  Even got two new tires last weekend (they had mesquite thorns in them, Discount replaced both under warranty for $75 all-in).  4X4, V8 towing package, she does everything I need.  And the wife HATES her, because she's dented, faded, ugly, and sits in our driveway.

Had an issue in recent years with the battery running down in the summer heat as it sat in the driveway.  I got a solar-powered trickle charger that I put on the roof and leave plugged in, and it's worked like a dream.  Haven't had a dead battery since.

This Chinese POS I bought on Amazon for $40.  So far, has worked like a charm: https://www.amazon.com/Battery-Portable-Waterproof-Maintainer-conversion/dp/B07JLWFPX6/ref=asc_df_B07JLWFPX6/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=693458464558&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=12445288748111526902&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9060225&hvtargid=pla-568557211123&psc=1&mcid=34063a470c40357cb2e7417c5d4ca024

Not defending Elmo here, but this is the tale of the tape:

I suspect most of this goes on far below Elmo's sightlines.

A) I'd like to know a more detailed definition of an "information request " because it ain't the same as a "removal request."

B) That "All Others" bucket includes a whole lot of countries that I'd like to see broken out, like Russia, China, India, etc.

He posted the dossier on his own website, not on Twitter.

My personal experience for quite some time is the algo has been doing a good job of pushing what I like and not bombing me with stupid.  In fact I’ll say I mighta gone too milquetoast.  Lotsa Super 70’s and cat (alive, not eaten) vids.  Kinda boring tbh.  Show me interesting stuff that isn’t political.

But the replies to those posts woah boy.  Bots and mouthbreathers all of them.

Dude.  Half of the top 10 podcasts are fascist or fascist friendly.  It's fucked.  Mark Cuban correctly noted that the "mainstream media" these days IS the fucking hard-right.  Fox News, and the podcast universe, and a single fucking website owned by a broken-brained racist and authoritarian piece of shit (the subject of this thread) dominate media now.  Right-wingers LOVE to be told only what they want to hear, and they are drawn to sources that will do so like moths to a flame.

I'm happy to put Joe Rogan in a different category than the other two, I don't think he always does it deliberately. He's just kind of an idiot meathead guy. He's at least tolerable depending on some topics and guests. The other two? Fucking fire brands.

Absolutely do it deliberately. I don't believe that Tucker even believes the shit he says.

Tucker doesn't believe anything other than Tucker should have fame and power.

I’ll respectfully disagree. Rogan makes millions spreading misinformation and giving shitty people a huge platform to spew their crap. Idiot or not, he’s a part of the problem. The “just asking questions” crowd is just as dangerous as Tucker Carlson. It gives people who think they’re not part of the cult cover to justify their shitty opinions.

Bingo.  He'd much rather be the god of the nazis than just a regular neighbor of decent humans.  It's all ego, and desperately trying to fill the void with adulation and worship from a group of people who happen to be the worst humanity has to offer.  And the hell of it is, the kind of void he has to fill (the desperate need to be important and loved) can never, ever be filled -- not externally, at least.  It's classic narcissism, which so often manifests as sociopathic evil.

If you'd have put your bj technique out on the internet, you could have been famous, too. Hater.

The Talk Tuah podcast is a meme online right now. Lot of content creators film themselves in high culture places and act like she's one of the greatest thinkers of our time. It's a bit.

Elon Musk’s Midlife Crisis Over Populating Mars

New timeline from the billionaire underscores that there are increasingly fewer windows to reach the red planet in his lifetime

Quote

Elon Musk sounds like a man grappling with the reality that there are only so many trips left for him around the sun.

At age 53, Musk is not yet an old man. But the clock is ticking on his stated goal of reaching Mars and building a city there in his lifetime or, at least, his working lifetime. Such pressure is evident in his recent rash of tweets emphasizing the narrow window for interplanetary travel and complaints about pesky Earth rules that, he says, are slowing him down.

The NY Times analyzed 5 days of tweets by Elon Musk. 1/3 of the tweets were false or misleading.

Quote

Nearly a third of his posts last week were false, misleading or missing vital context. They included misleading posts claiming Democrats were making memes “illegal” and falsehoods that they want to “open the border” to gain votes from illegal immigrants. His misleading posts were seen more than 800 million times on X, underscoring Mr. Musk’s unique role as the platform’s most-followed account and a significant source of its misleading content.

...

His most-viewed post, seen more than 100 million times, was a misleading projection of the presidential race that showed Mr. Trump winning most battleground states. The data was based on an outdated forecast from Nate Silver, an election modeler. By the time Mr. Musk shared the data, Mr. Silver’s forecast had shifted, suggesting instead that Vice President Kamala Harris was faring better than Mr. Trump. Some users quickly noted that the data was wrong, but Mr. Musk did not remove the post or make a correction.

...

Last Thursday, Mr. Musk shared a post from a right-wing influencer with more than 869,000 followers who is known for sharing conspiracy theories about Sept. 11, misinformation about Covid-19 vaccines and claims that the F.B.I. rigged the 2020 election.

Dozens of Mr. Musk’s posts were flagged by X’s content moderation program, called Community Notes, which relies on participating users to write corrections. Those fact-checks remain as proposals, visible only to users who decide to enroll in the Community Notes program, until a variety of those members endorse making them visible for all users.

Only one post — the false post about the bomb outside a Trump rally — had a visible Community Note, though there were dozens of proposed Community Notes on Mr. Musk’s other posts.
