Elon.....FREE SPEECH ABSOLUTIST!
Can we please get back all the dumbfuck Elon stans who actually repeated that bullshit, about how Elon was saving the very concept of free speech?  Please?  Come on back, guys.  Come out and defend yourselves.  Unless, of course, you're just like your false god: complete and total spineless cowards.

The Elon apologists say it was about free speech but knew that it was about taking control over social media sites that supported independent journalism and community organizing. We knew that they knew and then pretended that they didnt know and still argued it was about free speech. They knew that we knew that they know.

And now everyone knows it was all bullshit and now 98% of social media is controlled by autocrats and oligarchs who are giddy with power and a world without the appearance of accountability.

It’s kind of like the wizard and vampire movies. Theres always been evil wizards and vampires but now we’re in the movie where the evil faction that wants to rule over humans is winning.

Also.....Elon saying "I can't walk past a TV without seeing a Tesla on fire" is the fucking greatest thing I've seen or heard in MONTHS.  Give.  Me.  MORE.

AI can be a great diagnostic tool but the value is dependent on the training method. If you use peer reviewed data from actual doctors and researchers, then it's a game changer for medicine. Especially in the identification of rare diseases and conditions. If you train the model with TwitterX posts, you're probably going to die.

As for this case, I would question a physician who has failed to treat a patient for years but eventually asked AI Elon for help.

It's the exact thing Lay and Skilling told the peons at Enron right before it went to $0.

As a leading spokesperson for US Jews, we're not taking the fall for this motherfucker.

Also, again, on behalf of All Jews, I'd like to voice my disgust for Musk's idiocy and his wink wink to neo-nazis.

I mean we’ve all accepted the concept now that Trump was behind Elon buying twitter right?

I just skimmed a few pages from back in April 2022 when there were rumbles about Elmo buying Twitter. Start at the top of page 12 when those folks come out of the woodwork stanning for the Nazi. 52-80 makes a real ass of himself by leading that dipshit charge while cheeseweasel mostly cheers from the sidelines for everything to burn to the ground, cajun makes weird noises, and a slew of silent supporters show their stripes with pos reps.

I've got to say, though, that Pearland takes the cake with these two hilarious and unironic posts (no, I'm not being sarcastic by saying 'unironic.' This fucker bought the act.):

I didn't have the stamina to continue until the actual purchase happened later that fall, and we all saw firsthand Twitter begin to be transformed into the complete cesspool that it is today.

I mean we’ve all accepted the concept now that Trump was behind Elon buying twitter right?

Telling your employees not to sell company stock is something Enron did.  Fyi for Tesla employees.

Effects of USDA cuts by DOGE hitting the food banks.

Key passage:
The halt to the funds, which was first reported by Politico, comes in addition to other recent cuts to federal food assistance. Earlier this month, the Agriculture Department halted two other programs that distributed food to banks and schools. Lawmakers are also mulling cuts to the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, better known as food stamps, which were used by about 42 million people in the 2023 fiscal year.

Food bank directors fear that an across-the-board contraction to federal food assistance could drive more people to food banks just as they are losing access to critical supplementary funds.

“This is perhaps the first moment in the history of food banking that we have seen record low unemployment and record high demand at food banks,” Mr. Hall said. “Any circumstance that would cause even a modest increase in demand at food distributions will result in a food crisis.”

Representatives of the Agriculture Department did not respond to requests for comment.

Already seeing significant local effects.  Literally a subject of discussion at our house last night - we're upping our giving and work with some local faith-based efforts feeding the hungry people who literally live around the corner from many of us.

My wife and I will be giving more of our time and money to help make sure people don't go to bed without a meal.

You know who isn't giving a fucking penny towards that effort?  The fucking evil cocksucker who is the subject of this thread.  I could give 50% of my wealth and future earnings towards this effort....and Elon could match me with the metaphorical change in his couch cushions.  But he won't.  Because he's a demonic sociopathic evil piece of shit whose sole act of service to humanity will the moment he dies.

Cybertruck gets insurance cancelled because of a pre-existing condition: it sucks.

If I had a <fill-in-the-blank> car and a Tesla in my garage, I would only choose to park my non-Tesla in public. Exceptions being at a friend's house or my company parking lot/garage. A valet is most likely safe if the car is out front.

An innocent Tesla owner may say why me but the same behavior would occur if you owned a Japanese car in Detroit in the 70s or 80s. In both cases you are driving the symbol of what is harming people, even if you have nothing to do with it.

If I'm not mistaken Tesla have a couple of cameras around them. I would have to guess that Tesla engineers are hard at work to help police identify who might be vandalizing the cars.

Quote

President Trump escalated his threats against people who vandalize Tesla cars, musing in a social media post on Friday that those convicted of damaging or destroying the vehicles — including U.S. citizens — could be sent to notorious prison complexes in El Salvador.

“I look forward to watching the sick terrorist thugs get 20-year jail sentences for what they are doing to Elon Musk and Tesla,” Mr. Trump said, adding, “Perhaps they could serve them in the prisons of El Salvador, which have become so recently famous for such lovely conditions!”

In recent weeks, vandals in several cities have defaced or destroyed Tesla vehicles and dealerships in apparent protest of Mr. Musk’s efforts to drastically reshape the federal government and fire much of the federal work force. No serious injuries have been reported.

Last month, President Nayib Bukele of El Salvador offered to imprison convicted criminals from the United States in his country’s massive prison facilities.

Then this month, the United States deported Venezuelan migrants accused of being gang members to El Salvador. The deportation flights landed in El Salvador despite a federal judge ordering that the planes reverse course and return the detainees to the United States. The judge has vowed to continue investigating the flights and has said the Trump administration has not been cooperative.

Human rights groups say that the crowded Salvadoran prisons are holding pens for tens of thousands of people rounded up in arrests that have ensnared innocent people. The Terrorism Confinement Center is a hulking centerpiece of the system that is big enough to hold up to 40,000 inmates, some as young as 12.

Analysts say it is unlikely that a plan to detain U.S. citizens overseas would hold up in court.

Mr. Trump, who pardoned hundreds of people convicted in connection to the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the Capitol, has recently become fixated on delivering outsized punishments to the Tesla vandals after a journalist told the president at an event promoting Tesla on the White House lawn that “some say they should be labeled domestic terrorists.”

“I will do that,” Mr. Trump replied. “I’ll do that. I’m going to stop them."

No immediate action was taken, but a week later, Pam Bondi, the attorney general, made good on the promise and labeled the attacks as acts of “domestic terrorism.”

Then, on Thursday, Ms. Bondi highlighted weeks-old arrests of individuals charged in some of the arson attacks and suggested that they were tied to a larger plot by people “operating behind the scenes to coordinate and fund these crimes.” Earlier this week, Mr. Trump had suggested, without evidence, in a Fox interview that the vandalism was paid for “by people very highly political on the left” — echoing his claims about other protest movements like Black Lives Matter and the pro-Palestinian protests on college campuses.

Ms. Bondi, who developed a close relationship with Mr. Trump during her two terms as Florida’s attorney general, supported Mr. Trump’s pardon of Jan. 6 rioters, including people who had been convicted of violent crimes and weapons charges. The F.B.I. described those involved in the planning and perpetration of that attack as “domestic violent extremists.”

ALL of it is.  And this is what our resident Trumpkins like, and cheer.  They have never, ever had a problem with authoritarian banana republic bullshit....their only problem is that they didn't have it working on their behalf.

It reoccurred to me that I currently own a car and the founder of that car company was, in fact, Hitler.  I'm sure glad I never bought a Tesla.

Once you buy a Tesla, you don’t want another car. I know some hardcore Harris people from the Midwest who still drive their Teslas while being proud of how liberal they are. They have no shame in driving their Tesla because they love it and can’t accept their souls have been stolen for convenience. This is how completely fucked we are.

Have driven many, have been around many. This is just nonsense, they don't even execute on the electric car thing better than anyone. Mercedes has a fantastic electric car, so does polestar etc.

Maybe for a model 3 shitbox vs a base model camry or something, but not for a real car.

Carvana just came and hauled my Model S away last week. And they took my neighbor's Model 3 the prior week. This is in CO. So your anecdote is not entirely  accurate.
