Me and a buddy are making our way to Lawrence this year to pay our respects to God's Gift to Basketball before we take off to the SEC.

Anyone going this year?  Anyone been in the past and have tips on the town before/after the game?

I went in 2020.  Museum in the stadium is cool before tip off so get there when gates open.  The players have to walk across the bottom concourse to get from locker room to court so you can get close up to the players.  We stayed in Kansas City and it's an easy drive.  Main drag of Lawrence has some cool bars. People were chill since they expect to win.

Went last season and might end up pulling the trigger this year depending on how the next couple weeks go for the team. Hard to pass up the last time in Allen.

The Wheel was a lot of fun and had a few groups of Texas fans/attractive KU girls. One guy played The Eyes and Texas Fight on touchtunes. Gotta get there pretty early to snag a table because it can get tight in there.

Also going. Tickets are pricey at the moment.

Bucket list item but I did stop by there on my to way to NY and checked it out, very cool old barn and the museum was also great.  I thought it was a good looking campus, didn’t see much else of Lawrence.
