Jesus christ the orioles are not contenders and will collapse back to earth this year. They are in the exact same position the Marlins, Mets, Padres, and Angels have been in in recent years. Look at how those dynasties panned out.

Looking good!

From an O’s media source …

The Orioles announced this afternoon that prospects Jackson Holliday, Coby Mayo and Connor Norby were reassigned to minor league camp and outfielders Heston Kjerstad and Kyle Stowers were optioned.  Another highly rated prospect, Colton Cowser, appears to have made the team.

… another member of the new ownership group at tonight’s game.  Let’s hope the weather cooperates.

Was told the O's were going to struggle and tank this year....

… and I think there are 3 or 4 more who’ll be up this season.

Rangers fan excited for Holliday’s debut. Kid is a beast.

Got some beasts of your own!

Yall have a heck of young foundation to build on. Hopefully new ownership will lock some of those kids up to long term deals

The new managing partner said they’re in it for the long haul.  He went on to say that Mike Elias has total control of baseball operations.

It appears Elias has a handle on it …

Not much of a MLB guy but the O’s have caught my attention this year. In NB everyone hypes up Westburg and Holliday is fun. I’ll hop on the bandwagon if y’all have room.

Sure thing … welcome aboard!  It’ll be fun to watch them learn and continue to improve.

I'm keeping up with y'all guys again. My fiance grew up in Maryland, she enjoys them. Let's meet in the playoffs again.

Any chatter about sending Holliday back down? 1/22 was not expected by me ha.

Don’t see that happening.  The O’s have been breaking in kids for the past 3 seasons (Rutschman, Henderson, Westburg, Cowser) and even further if you go back to Hays, Mullins, and Mountcastle.  Holliday will come around just as they have.

If you’re interested, here’s a pretty thorough look at Holliday’s ABs leading up to that first hit.  He’s being pitched to which is no surprise considering he’s hitting right in front of Gunnar.

Kemp was the one DFA'd to make room.

This was classy as hell of Tony

Tony Kemp is happy to see the youngsters thrive.

The Baltimore Orioles veteran took the high road on Wednesday, congratulating top prospect Jackson Holliday despite losing his spot on the major league roster following the rookie’s call-up.

He shared a special story about seeing the kid swing for the first time.

“In the fall of 2010, our college had a series against the Longhorns for a three-game set,” Kemp said on X, formerly known as Twitter. “Our hitting coach at the time was Josh Holliday and his brother, Matt, brought his kid to our early practice. I remember watching his son (Jackson) with a sweet lefty swing.

“Go get ’em kid!”

The veteran played his college ball at Vanderbilt where Josh Holliday, Jackson Holliday’s uncle, was the hitting coach. He is now the head coach at Oklahoma State.
