O’s 7 - Nats 6  … in 12

Would have been a 3-1 win in regulation had Kimbrel not shit the bed for the third time in his last four tries.  Brandon Hyde needs to pull his head out and reset his devotion to the “book” …

Fuckin’ Nats are pesky as shit!

Really like the new Orioles ownership group. Night and day

Brawl in the OPACY upper deck?

Nope … new owner David Rubenstein (white hat, naturally) making his daily trek to the fans to give away O’s caps.

How’s the view from 2nd place?

Congrats for taking care of the AAAA business after leaving Baltimore …

O’s lose the continuation of last night’s suspended game, 3-1, to St Louis.  O’s bats are 🧊cold … 3 hits in each of the first two games ain’t gonna cut it.

106 … that’s the number of regular season series the O’s have played since last being swept.  Third longest in ML history.

Cards took advantage of most of their scoring opportunities … O’s not so much.

On to the ChiSox for four games.  Need to get right … back in the AL East next week.

The Ghost of Trey Mancini … LHP Chayce McDermott, part of a 2022 3-team trade between Houston, TB, and the O’s, makes his ML debut tonight in Miami.

… and remained in the game.  He’s teaching toughness to a bunch of Baby Birds.

At this point in time, Norby is the biggest loss potentially.  Stowers has been up and down and yet to escape the AAA bubble.  At 26, his “shelf life” is expiring considering the competition in the O’s farm system.  Good luck to both in Miami.

Back to 2nd place you go. Unreal. The Yankees had a 10-40 stretch or something like that, and were already back in first.

Unreal indeed.  $303M for a team to stay in contention with one spending $94M … one comprised mainly of players in their first and second years in the ML.

This, also, the birds are 2 games behind the best record in the league. It isn't like the birds are playing like shit. Yankees also didn't go 10-40 at any point. What a delusionally stupid take. But hey, it's Helo.

From his perspective, it’s some kind of heroic NYY recovery from disaster (which is still quite possible since they’re being carried by one or two players).  From my perspective, it’s fun and exciting to watch a bunch of kids win while learning.  There’s light at the end of the tunnel.

The light NYY sees may be a freight train very soon.
