September 1, 20214 yr Untold: Crime and Penalties. It's a doc. Mobster buys his 17 year-old son a minor league hockey team in 2004. Puts him in charge. It's awesome.

September 2, 20214 yr How to Be a Cowboy is mildly entertaining/humorous. I assume they're going for a Duck Dynasty vibe.
September 2, 20214 yr Really enjoyed the latest Untold doc about the Trashers. Better than Malice in the Palace. The guy they interviewed that got emotional when he talked about beating the shit out of the opposing player was hilarious. Those dudes were something else.

There were a lot of things I liked about it. Spoiler The absurdity of spoiling your child by buying a hockey team for him. The absurdity of turning the team into a goon squad. The loyalty. The end when everyone just celebrated the fact that they had one good and crazy year.

September 2, 20214 yr SAS: Rise of the Black Swan Why does Ruby Rose get acting jobs? She can’t act and her stupid Moe bowl cut is weird to look at. I guess it’s fine for a low budget action flick.

September 3, 20214 yr Another positive post here for the Untold about the Hockey Galantes. Only thing is I couldn't stop laughing at cigar dude trying to act all super hard lmao
September 9, 20214 yr Watched the Bo Burnham special. Can’t stop thinking about it. Really impressive, funny, and whatever else it made me feel.

September 12, 20214 yr Watched Tread last night. Documentary about a pissed off welder that builds a bulldozer into a tank and destroys Granby, CO in 2004. Never knew this happened. I have relatives in Granby now. Short enough to enjoy.
September 12, 20214 yr Watched the new Cinderella last night with my 11 y.o. daughter. Not terrible. Entertaining.

September 13, 20214 yr Watching Manhunt: Deadly Games - Richard Jewell edition. Kind of low budget but interesting. It’s a despicable crime the way the Feds and media acted and tortured that poor man. The rush to judgement and manipulation is revolting.

September 15, 20214 yr Season 2 of Black Summer is good, like really good. Hopefully they renew it for a third season.

It appears he was able to get on with his life and be happy at least.

Spoiler I enjoyed it but I think "really good" is a little much unless you're really into the ZA genre, which I am. Much like TWD, the characters make a few incredibly dumb decisions. For example, I find a spot like that hotel and there's no way I'm leaving until spring.

I feel like s2 of Black Summer is better than TWD. I enjoy how they show the different perspectives and even the most obscure segments tie back to the main narrative in some manner. I liked how they portrayed the survivor's desperation in s2 and how it's a completely become a dog eat dog world right from the get go it gives you the monsters are us vibe. I felt like Black Summer has brought some freshness to the genre.

I read the actress who plays Maeve may not return for a potential season 4. I think you could end it at 4 if Netflix wanted a farewell season, but its Netflix, so a surprise cancellation wouldn't shock me either (the 3 season curse).
September 21, 20214 yr ha, I did too. If you like it you'll like Alice in Borderland, very similar concept, really well done.
September 21, 20214 yr Clickbait. I didn't love the cast. Or the acting. Or the...script. But the story and pacing kept us wanting to watch the next one every single time an episode was over.
