May 26May 26 Didn't make it ten minutes into Silvermans new special. Has she ever been funny?I laughed my ass off when she got punched in the face in Way of the Gun.

After getting up our hopes, ending (spit on ground) Pat Dye’s four-game win streak and being invited to the Sun Bowl (Whoopee!), Bama embarrassed by the Ville and Jeff Brohm, who made our defense look hapless. No, they actually were hapless that day in El Paso. Brohm always impressed me as player and corch. Edited May 26May 26 by Bama Llama Spazitis typing
May 27May 27 Series finale of Big Mouth delivers. Wish Freak Flag had been a character in oast episodes. Fucking slayed me.

It’s Kevin bacon, Meghann Fay, Juliette Moore in an elitist soap opry. we started it, and after one episode i said i was out, but the wife kept watching. by the end of ep2, it was growing on me, and then episodes 3 and 4 were pretty awesome. i didn't think there was much of a twist, so i wouldn't watch or not watch based on that. they finished pretty strong and kept the dark comedy coming in some fun ways. lots of fun characters and the tone change saved the show. i think it's worth a watch, if only because the cast is stacked.
May 29May 29 Department Q drops today. I've been looking forward to this for a while. Hoping it lives up to expectations.

They’ve mastered engagement, but not excellence. Julianne Moore must need the money. She was in Boogie Nights and The Big Lebowski for Christ sake. I think this is Bill Camp and Bacon’s new lanes. Excellent performances on mid shows. Nothing really stuck out about the sisters other than Milly Alcock has a great body. The twist is extremely predictable and unsatisfying. They put almost no effort into setting it up, and the only explanation we get is a 30 second scene on a ferry. The final episode was terrible. Ruined what had been a decent, if not great binge watch.

I saw the trailer for this yesterday it reminded me (not sure why) that I needed to watch David Tennant's The Escape Artist again. My wife hadn't seen it, and she thought it was great for a three-hour miniseries. It's on Amazon Prime, Tubi, and Freeve. Edited May 29May 29 by SimonBolivar

Tennant was excellent alongside Olivia Colman in Broadchurch (and of course many other things). Will check it out.
May 30May 30 Enjoying Sirens through two episodes. It's pretty good for Rich People Being All Weird in a Beautiful Environment On Water and Also There is a Murder Probably TV. Is there a name for that? White Lotus TV?
June 1Jun 1 Man, trying to get through first episode of Sirens but it’s a grind. So far there’s nothing interesting about it.
June 1Jun 1 I watched Havoc last night. Tom Hardy as a bent cop and Forest Whitaker as a dirty politician. Not much of a plot, but nonstop action. I enjoyed it.

June 2Jun 2 Started Department Q last night. I think it deserves its own thread. I highly recommend. Starting episode 2 right now.

June 3Jun 3 Watched “Mo” Never heard of season 1 but saw that season 2 dropped this winter/spring.Palestinian refugee family moves to Houston, comedic story-telling as he grows up “hustling” in Houston as family works through asylum system. He speaks Spanish, dates a Catholic girl, deals with living at home with his mom and older autistic brother.

I was going to watch it after I finish the Fred & Rose west doc (which is excellent). Will skip the Tylenol doc if so as I think we have similar documentary taste.

I think Kiki explicitly states she was never friends with the original Mrs. Kell, and because Simone is her best friend it makes the betrayal worse. I can’t remember them explaining how Kiki came into the Kell’s lives. I hate this fucking show.

June 5Jun 5 Only on Episode 3 but thus far Dept. Q is really interesting for those who like dark who-dun-it murder/mystery shows from England, which I compulsively do... so you've been warned.

June 5Jun 5 The Wyatt Earp series is really good if you like history. So much of the extent of his story and how the president and JP Morgan were involved that I didn’t know before.

If y’all are talking about Sarah Silverman I find her mysterious, attractive, clever and hilarious at times but then again I voluntarily signed up for Shaggy and Surly. She does get into some topics that are off putting. I like her coquettish sluttiness. Thought she did a good job portraying the bitchy friend in School of Rock.
June 9Jun 9 anybody seen Straw? TPH is generally fantastic and it seems pretty heavy for Perry, but i'm not usually a fan 🤔

Lumped in there with the fake rumors about needles in candy, and the true story about Adam Walsh, and combine it all with the beginnings of 24-hour Cable News TV and you had a mixture for making our parents paranoid.

June 13Jun 13 I enjoyed the Ocean's Gate documentary. I hadn't tuned in to anything that may have come out after the implosion, so the context for what led up to the tragedy was new to me. Nothing revealed was exactly surprising, but it makes me never want to go into space with Musk or Bezos.
