“Trainwreck: Poop Cruise” was a well done, cringy , not too long, documentary of the Carnival Triumph - the ship that lost all power in the Gulf, resulting in pee and poop flowing through the ship.  Absolutely horrendous situation.

I shit and pissed in many a slit trench in my early 20s while other people were standing around/shitting or pissing as well.

I think I would have no problem finding a place where I could hang my ass over the side and shit. Maybe I'd have another person or two holding one or both of my arms so I don't fall overboard, but I'd have no problem doing it.  And pissing over the side is easy.  Maybe rope off an area at the stern with some curtains up to the railings, let the guys piss over the back.  Women, do it in a bucket and toss it over.

That was good. Almost wish it was longer. What a shitshow (pun intended)

Did y’all hear that one guy was on the cruise with his future in-laws??

They need to do a documentary on the Arkansas RV/Sex Tent road trip.

I enjoyed the Ocean's Gate documentary.  I hadn't tuned in to anything that may have come out after the implosion, so the context for what led up to the tragedy was new to me.  Nothing revealed was exactly surprising, but it makes me never want to go into space with Musk or Bezos.

eh. Just watched it, and I thought it was kind of a snoozer. I was hoping for more footage and interviews about the final dive/search & rescue attempts than 90 minutes of Stockton ignorance and how he got away with what he did for so long. that could've been probably condensed into 30-45 min and spend the rest of the time slot on the final dive

When I saw there was only about 10 minutes left and they hadn't gotten to the final dive yet, I figured there was a part two coming with all of that. Nope. "Then it imploded and they all died. The end."

Department Q.
Set in Scotland, about a dysfunctional team of detectives that are tasked with cold cases after two of them were shot in a different case.

Kind of a police cousin to “Slow Horses”.

What, no "Poop Cruise" yet?  If you liked the Fyre Fest stuff, you'll probably enjoy it.  I didn't think it was as/that good.  Maybe because this one is more "there but for the grace of God go I" or because there just weren't as many spoiled and hateable people involved.  Less schadenfreude.  They try to play up a cruise line conspiracy angle, but it falls flat.  It just seems like this is what would happen if a cruise ship's engines and electrical systems fail in the middle of the ocean, and it could happen again tomorrow and would play out the same way.  So think hard about whether you want to board a ship with 4000 other assholes who are all full of shit.

Poop Cruise Bachelorette party is a friend of my wife. 😆

This.  All I could think of whenever the bachelorette talked was to feel sorry for the poor guy that married her.  And that she was probably getting railed in Cozumel.

‘Tires' Renewed for Season 3 at Netflix
My favorite moment in season 2 was the exchange between Ron Dobbins and Will about Lisa.  Paraphrasing here, Ron looks at Will, looks at Lisa, looks at Will.  Shit, man I should asking for your autograph.
Let season 3 roll.

We just finished S2, we actually stopped because I thought it was a 10ep season. [emoji2359]

This season really tightened up the story telling around their free-wheeling jokes.

Will really shined this season!

Old Guard 2 - spending considerably less on choreography, sound/music, and CGI, reversing the major revelation from the first movie in the lamest way possible, having the audience ask "That's Uma Thurman??", and giving everyone a terrible haircut for a movie whose sole purpose is to set up a third film is certainly a choice.

Meh, spent way too much time on the innocent Brazilian the armed police killed (definitely fucked up). Fuck those mosques though, should have killed a couple of those radical imams years ago

I started this new show, it's about some arse hole detective in Scotland who is investigating a disappearance and monkeys. I think it's called Project X. I'm on the second to last episode and the monkeys have become self aware. Really good.

I don't know what show you are talking about, but I know how it ends. This is how not to recommend a show in a "recommendations" thread.

It's not perfect, but I really enjoyed it. I think there are more seasons with unrelated stories, but I haven't seen them. But that first season is legitimately good.

As they say, if you have to explain the joke, it probably wasn't very good. Made me chuckle last night, at least.

I really enjoyed it. Would’ve been a great story of the guys trying to escape being trapped at the North Pole even without the yeti.

The Terror was a very slow burn but a good cast and a good villain. Seasons 2 and 3 don’t look as interesting to me.

The Terror was great. There's a dedicated thread for it here IIRC, from a few years ago so you might have to dig but it has a decent amount of discussion from back when the first season aired.

Protip for those unaware. In the forum you’re looking for a specific thread, in this case Movies & TV, type your search word(s) in the box up top, then sort by Content Titles. Bam, simple.

If you are looking for a very good movie about love, life, kids, parenting and interactions with assholes in your life, I suggest When Life Gives You Tangerines.

It is Korean, and dubbed, and the dubbing is actually pretty good.  It's definitely a series to watch with your spouse and hopefully family.   There are parts it gets real dusty.

I can't find a way to give you a trailer in English dubbing, but here's one with english subtitles.  I've always enjoyed UI (who plays several characters).  Gives you a pretty good sense of South Korea from the rural parts all the way into Seoul.

Re-watching house of cards. Season 1 was great and nearing the end of season 2 starts to go off the rails. I am not sure I will make it to season 3. Still a great show over the years.

I used to dig Kevin Spacey stuff. Kind of out on him now after we learned what he’s really all about.
