  • Here it is, in short. I would need to cross check some things to make sure it is all correct, but this is the story in brief: Some time in March, 1944, the 45th was moving into Germany in near co

Triple Frontier is pretty good. Nothing flashy. Seems like they left a lot out there because the cast has 4 heavy hitters and one journeyman actor.

I do get tired of movies painting veterans as victims. It seems like Hollywood is still stuck in the Vietnam era. Movies about warriors from other times and civilizations don't have this problem and can even portray a certain nobility. But modern warriors need to be damaged. It seems out of touch.

If you don't know the difference from Vietnam, forward in a contextual sense, I don't know what to tell you.

Watching Gomorrah, Italian scripted series about the mafia in Naples. I like it.

One of the best crime shows of all time. I wish Netflix would hurry up and get Season 3 up.

Lucky 13 was dope too

Season three of “Hap and Leonard” is available!

I forgot all about this show. I love the chemistry between Michael K. Williams and James Purefoy.

On episode four. Great and disturbing.

“Dreamer” is a deep cut but such a great musical ending for a show that is necessary right now. I understand why it caught the axe but it still sucks.

I’m only through about 4, but thought the witness was great

Regarding Love Death and Robots: I like the less realistic animation styles better. The super-realistic animation like Shape Shifters and Aquila Rift look too much like video games to me. But I liked the style of The Dump, The Witness, Good Hunting, etc.

Not a big fan of the “just like real life” animation myself.

Is everyone excited about the new Amy Schumer special?

It wasn’t as bad as you think. It had some laughs

The worst standup this year BY FAR was Ken Jeong. I wouldn’t even classify it as standup becsuse he didn’t say anything funny. He just name dropped movies he has been in.

Watched it last night to kill an hour before bed. Couple of laughs but mostly blah.

I watched that flat Earth documentary Behind the Curve. Very good. I was hoping they would ask Sargent his thoughts about the gyroscope failure.

I think they were going for the whole flat earthers think they are right and this documentary is gonna prove it right as far as the people participating are concerned vibe, so they tried not to challenge them. Better that way to ensure they got honest opinions. But, yeah, I'd love to hear the twisted logic behind that failure.

Yeah I doubt he even knew about it when they were filming him.  But telling him the result during one of the interviews could have been interesting, although I'm aware he would have immediately spun it.

Also, totally would that chick.

Just finished The Dirt. Kinda odd that Vince had the most stable relationship, even though it eventually fell apart, of all those dudes.

Watching The Dirt right now. I definitely want to read the book.

Ramsay Bolton as Mick Mars is hilarious on many levels.

This must have been the film where Pete Davidson captured Kate's heart.

Skaggs is in it. Yes.

Does it have the part where they stuff the phone up the one twin and have the other call their mom on it?

Another rec for Love, Death, and Robots.

Three episodes in and really digging it.

The Dawn Wall. Can’t recommend it enough. I know the other climbing doc has gotten most of the publicity but I think I liked this one better. What an amazing achievement.

Indifferent on Motley Crue really, but The Dirt was entertaining enough.

The Dirt was better than I thought it would be.

There needs to be a five part 30 for 30 on how Pete Davidson ended up with Kate Beckinsale.

I guess if that’s the deal, you have to lead with it.  At least until it makes the gossip rounds.

One of the single moms in our pta group was all offended the other day because apparently she scrolled past some guy on tinder who just had his crank as his profile pic.

Seems like a pretty efficient way to go about it to me. No, it wasn’t me.

Just finished Formula One.  Ok, now I have to watch the races.  There’s a lot of shit going on there.

It’s made F1 a lot more interesting to me because the on-track product just isn’t that interesting right now.

Having storylines and back stories has given me reason to watch.

Agree. I had zero interest in Forumla 1. In fact, I would even say I thought it was stupid. But that was an entertaining series.

Sorry if already recommended above -- "Tower" is an excellent and interesting documentary on the Texas Tower sniper. The filmmaker uses "rotoscoping" well to give us a view of the survivors and heroes as they were on August 1, 1966.

Excellent recommendation

The Dirt came out, Motley Crue

OA season 2 is out...

*ducks*

I know most of yall hated the first season but I liked it despite the weird dancing shit. Through 6 of 8 eps in season 2 and shit is definitely weirder, but still good so far.

Watched the Dawn Wall and Valley Uprising this weekend. Both are worth watching if you liked Free Solo and haven’t seen them. Also watched Triple Frontier, it was alright I guess.

Watched Triple Frontier last night.  Better than I expected.

I can’t imagine what kind of shit show you were expecting.

Maybe the worst show of the 2010s.

She was just pretending to be offended. She wanted the other ladies to give her the ok.

Watching the OA p2 now. It’s just as weird as I remember.

Yea I give it an 86.3% chance she hooked up.
