February 16, 20241 yr Just tried Himalayan on Hillcroft and 59 and it was quite good. Any other worth trying?
February 16, 20241 yr Oh man where to start, there's so many good Indian places in Houston. Subscribed. In the past month, I've enjoyed Egg Mania, Bombay Brasserie, Shiv Sagar,...
February 18, 20241 yr Yeah Himalaya, London Sizzler, and Shiv Sagar all being in the same strip mall makes for maybe my favorite go-to location in the Gandhi District. Definitely try Shiv Sagar if you haven't, best Indian chaat-type food ("snacks", but loose translation as portions can be plenty big) in town.
March 9, 20241 yr Pondicheri was great back in the day (it probably still is)...it's been forever since we've been though. They used to do a fried chicken night that was awesome. Fast casual, lunch type place...Tarka fits the bill and is pretty solid for what it is. Himalaya is our favorite though. Kaiser (the owner) is a fantastic person, menu guide and he's hilarious too. We haven't been to Red Lion in forever...they're prices are insane, but they have Indian food. Edited March 9, 20241 yr by Tylerocks

Richmond Arms had pretty good curry. Tasted great with a pint of London Pride. RIP.

Red Lion slammed and went hard for lunch today. I ordered Tikka Masala extra spicy. Had a little kick and some nice richness. Huge portion for $18. Went down well with a couple London Pride pints.

If they do, I'll stop by when I'm in town next week.

The bartender said the Bellhaven is going to go fast as they only have 3 kegs, and their customers have waited a long time for it. Draught London Pride is my favorite beer. Just started the new season of Somebody Feed Phil, and the 1st episode is in Mumbai. 🤤
June 1, 20241 yr My mom has been in town the last few days and wanted to take me to lunch for my birthday. She lives in deep East Texas and wanted to go somewhere “very tony”, and I know she can’t get good Indian food up there so i suggested Musaafer. It was pretty damn pricey but man, holy shit was all the food awesome and the atmosphere was great. Definitely not your every day type place but IMO the experience was well worth it. Really really cool spot, especially sitting in the mirror room.
August 16, 20241 yr I’m thinking hard about an Aga run. Is there a reason lamb isn’t on their menu? Lots of goat, but no lamb.
