Schloss whipping out his ginormous, gargantuan veiny dick and loading up on elite talent. He should have this program back to where it should be in year 2 and beyond. That's a true closer. He and his staff are already legends for giving aggy the middle finger after making the NC to come to his dream school, but now he's making sure that shit hole goes back to the gutter where they belong.

I can't believe I'm able to love Texas baseball again!

the details are disturbing, but great post. hope we get some of these kids to play school.

No idea, haven't been back in a few years. His pizza place is no longer there.

NIL makes it a different world. No idea what our baseball NIL looks like but say a million a year and the college experience vs 4-10 million up front and 4 years of the minor league schedule- it’s actually a debatable decision now.

It's the gigantic, gargantuan dick, isn't it? Imagine being his wife. Whooooo boy.

Thank God David Pierce is gone. Dumbass would divide up all the NIL for every player, whetger they sucked or not. Schloss won't do that shit, thankfully.

Better chance than most #1s. Doubtful but there is a real chance

Anyone know how big our baseball NIL is?

Big. Not lsu big but otherwise we are right there. Rev share $$ probably won’t hit baseball much but the extra scholarship $ will help supplement. Baseball has a chance to be very very good for a long long time

Thank you for answering my question. I had a feeling it was good, but hearing we're at least close to being level with LSU makes me happy. Glad to know we'll have the funds for the foreseeable future.

Has that increased with the Schloss hire or was it already there just used wrong?

Have to think this is just for leverage but he isn’t in any top 150 or 100 lists that I have seen

Does he hit the long ball?? I feel schloss wants a lineup of mashers. Bet he’s gonna chase the big bats.

That’s kinda what I meant. I think schloss would look at some other bats first.

Yes, unless he is exceptional in every other phase of the game, that complete lack of power is probably a nonstarter.  And I followed @chase25's lead and read further about him, and he's not that highly thought of that I could find.

Only 12 XBHs despite playing half his games in Stanford's park? Guess he never hits 200-foot fly balls. 😡

Is it because he's 6'8 or because his last name is Vargas?

6'8 lefties don't grow on arbols

None of those guys got playing time at a bottom tier conference school this year.  Why would they be good enough for the conference champions?

Liam Doyle posted a 6.00 ERA in conference play for an Ole Miss team that finished 27-29 and missed the NCAA tournament last year. He is possibly pitching his way to the #1 overall pick as we speak for Tennessee right now pumping 99 MPH fastballs from the left side.

In baseball you look for tools and ability in players you feel like you can’t teach.

None of those guys got coached by Schloss this year.

It was a joke, of course you look for tools and what you as a coaching staff can get out of the kid.

My kid’s team played against Dripping Springs in the playoffs last month, faced Longhorn commit Cooper Rummel. He was throwing 97, had 3 other ridiculous pitches. He’s going to contribute next season for sure. He’s a good one.

* if he makes it to campus 🤞🏻

Some portal intel from Pete Nakos. I’m gonna assume our NIL situation is in a good place if these are the names we are linked with.

Speaking with sources, Texas is in the mix for multiple big-time college baseball free agents. The Longhorns are in the mix for Virginia transfers Eric Becker (infielder) and Henry Ford(infielder/outfielder). Becker officially entered the portal on Tuesday with a do-not-contact tag, and batted .368 with 74 hits in 201 at-bats in 2025. He hit nine home runs and drove in 52 RBIs, as well.

Seton Hall transfer outfielder Aiden Robbins started 46 games this spring, finishing with a .438 batting average to go with 33 RBIs and a .550 on-base percentage. He has emerged as a top portal target for Texas, sources have said.

Maryland starting shortstop Chris Hacopian totaled 29 home runs and 103 RBIs in his two seasons at Maryland. He was an All-Big Ten second-team honoree both years. The sophomore is lining up a visit to Austin, per a source. The rising junior has been projected as high as a potential top-10 pick in the 2026 MLB draft.

An RGV team completely lit him up a week ago in their playoff series and I believe chased him after 2 innings. We really need his teammate that’s going to tennesse to hit instead. He’s a lefty pitcher that has shut down everyone in the playoffs even though he’s going to college for his bat. Taylor Tracey.

Yeah he was their game 2 pitcher against us. Tall dude. I think he’s going to play OF for Tennessee. Big bat. Both guys shut our bats down in any case.

Becker and Ford were UVA's top-two players statistically on offense:

Becker played SS this season, yet appeared at 3B some in 2024 and can play all infield positions sans 1B. UVA doesn't have the breakdown up for 2025 yet, but below is 2024's.

2024: Appeared in 45 games and made 39 starts (26 at third base and 13 at shortstop)

Ford played multiple positions in the OF this season.

That don't make no sense
