No facial hair, no hair to the shoulders, pants always be worn at the ankles or above.

Been a rule for Texas baseball forever.

And we've been to 38 CWS.

I think the image of Texas is important. I think it gets guys in the right headspace to play for the program and not themselves.

I say it whenever anyone leaves - we want guys that want to play for Texas. It's a big deal and it's not a good fit for every player.

I know.  And again, I'm all for it.

I'm just wondering if it has an effect on recruiting.  Do we miss out on this guy because he wants his long hair, beard, gold chains, silly eye black, etc....(his swag)?

And that's how bad fundamental baseball puts you behind

Fucking babip

This defense is fucking AIDS. I don't care if it's the 3rd game of the season.

I agree 100%.

We've obviously had success in the past adhering to the standards.  Is it sustainable in the future, or is overall baseball culture shifting away in a manner that makes it harder to do?  NIL lends itself to being a "character", having a sellable image, etc.  Will players be as willing going forward to lose all the individual bullshit and play within a culture like ours?

If you would like to offer a blank check to NIL efforts we can have Tommy Whites on the team

Y'all idiots do this every single start of the season.  Let's relax and tap the brakes some.

Bad break for SD.

Yeah but their run was on 20 feet worth of hits.

Stretch out Howard as long as he can go. Let him or Hurley prove they can throw strikes and give them Saturday

I believe the plan is to continue to stretch out Harrison as well.

Deserves it’s own term “Texas Pooper”.

Is O'Dowd still 0-for-2024?

Good walk/at-bat there.  Good to see him work the pitcher vs. swinging for the fences on every pitch.

This guy has negative command.

Maybe they are starting to run out of pitching.

Hopefully USD is running out of arms

Too bad Luke Storm's not up with the bases loaded.

Ivran? So far away?

Belyeu pinch hitting for Kennedy with the bases loaded.

Are they just gonna let this guy piss the game away?

I wouldn't swing at shit.

Alright now bust this shit open Horns.

Omg he hung the shit out of that fastball...
