February 17, 20241 yr Jesus, please dont let us close like last year where every 9th inning is in doubt, even if we are up 8 runs.

February 17, 20241 yr ^^ although no errors tonight. There's been some opportunities to have some. Made the pitch when he had too. Nice. Edited February 17, 20241 yr by Bevo&Pevo
February 17, 20241 yr BS Blue, that was a strike. WTG Horns. Opening night win. The Girls knocked off Tenn and Stanford in B2B games. Nice day. Edited February 17, 20241 yr by Bevo&Pevo
February 17, 20241 yr O’Dowd has awful range. Type of player we probably couldn’t be starting in the SEC. Hopefully he hits.
February 17, 20241 yr When someone ask us a trivia question 20 years from now of who got the first win of 2024 on the road to a national championship, remember the answer is Max Grubbs.

He’s pretty meh on both sides of the ball when it comes to Texas standards. If you’re going to be lackluster in one major phase of the game, you better be elite in the other. That’s not O’Dowd.

Dee Kennedy played some 2B and he could be a good one with time but he’s a freshman. Ardoin’s brother I guess could also be an option but he’s a twig right now and needs to add 10-15 pounds to play at this level.
February 17, 20241 yr Found out the other day Dee’s dad was two years behind me in HS. Runs an Italian restaurant here in FW.

February 17, 20241 yr I’ve not been a fan of O’Dowd ever, but he tends to hit homers in the clutch. I wouldn’t be against finding someone to replace him though
February 17, 20241 yr We could have had this Florida transfer this offseason but decided we were good in the infield once Luke Storm said he was coming and Powell announced he was coming back. Would have been the ideal utility fit and had experience at second base. https://auburntigers.com/sports/baseball/roster/deric-fabian/19180 Edited February 17, 20241 yr by Hookem2147

Sanders is going to be our next Faltine from a smack talk and edge standpoint. You can just tell from the way he carries himself. Belyeu has such a sweet swing it’s just a consistency thing. His defense was horrible last year which is a big reason he never really played, so to see him make those plays tonight speaks to the progress he’s made.
February 17, 20241 yr Bummed I missed the game but the highlights of the Flores slam look like a special way to start the season

February 17, 20241 yr So what now is the radio station for the post game show?Get back to the truck immediately after the game and nothing found on the dial…[emoji2371]

Get back to the truck immediately after the game and nothing found on the dial… I switched to AM 1300 but I did the same thing. I found nothing for FM. I’ll probably just listen through the website from on for postgame. Also, is Jalin Flores about to be a star?
February 17, 20241 yr Didn’t Jayden Duplantier start a couple times last year? He made some errors but I’d imagine he could be an option at second if he’s developed over the offseason.
