Cooter Brown never had the makings of a varsity Sopranos watcher.

A bit hypocritical for you to making jokes about the size of a woman's ass.

  • You thought Little Carmine sucked?  You're at the precipice, BigDHornfan, of an enormous crossroad.

I think the show basically depicted how the mob was in the early 80’s. 62 murders on screen. Tony ordered 12, and personally carried out 8. For reference, Gravano was convicted of 19 murders.

The last mob hit in New Jersey was 2007. A Lucchese captain got blown away in broad daylight in a diner parking lot. It’s believed a set of The Bloods affiliated with the Luccheses did the killing.

The last mob hit in New York was the 2013 murder of Michael Meldish. Again ordered Luccheses. They found an African American guy dying of cancer to pull the trigger. The case is infamous because it brought down the entire administration of the family.

“Historically, historical changes have come out of war.” -Little Carmine

“Keep your eye on the tiger.” - Christopher Moltisanti.

“Here’s another expression - get me my money by next week.” Tony

You are at the precipice of an enormous crossroads.

The fundamental question is, will I be as effective as a boss like my dad was?  And I will be, even more so.  But until I am, it's going to be hard to verify that I think I'll be more effective.

25 years ago today, The Sopranos debuted on HBO.  i didn't watch it on day 1.  i didn't have HBO.  but i got caught up around season 3 and then watched it weekly from season 4 to the end. to commemorate, here are a few of my favorite pop culture related Sopranos moments.

I hope they cleaned the slicer.

Started a rewatch last week.  Great as ever.  Just started Season 2 tonight.

Rewatching for the 7th time I think. Mrs. sunshine and I relocated to our family's fish camp on Lake Rayburn while our home was being built 22 years ago and had no TV unless you finagled the antenna just so. We resorted to our Sopranos collection on DVD and hence baby sunshine was created but we're separated now and mrs. and baby sunshine hate my guts. Fair enough. On my current rewatch I'm up to Season 3 Episode 4 which is appropriately titled "Employee of the Month" and I've decided I wouldn't hire anybody related to me or named Aprile to do fucking jack shit

Cameos - Off the top of my head Frank Sinatra, Jr., Lawrence Taylor, David Lee Roth, Ben Kingsley,  Lauren Bacall. Who else you got?

Lady Gaga (before she was famous), Jon Favreau off the top of my head.

She was one of AJ's friends in the episode where the trashed to school's pool and trophy case.

Also rewatching in case it wasn't obvious from my posts.Up to season 6, episode 13 "Soprano Home Movies." Bobby kicking Tony's ass was nice but the Monopoly house piece stuck to Tony's face by his blood afterwards was a really nice touch

Also the great Sydney Pollack if not mentioned already. You see all he did was kill his cheating wife, her aunt and the mailman. Because once you commit...

Season 6, episode 15. Tony and Paulie have to go on the lam which to nobody's surprise involves Paulie packing 4 pairs of white leather dress shoes

Cameo by Martin Scorsese and, let's not forget Peter Riegert as the good Assemblyman Zellman.

Zellman has no choice there, right? If he fights back he going to get killed, correct.

Frankie Valli was in several episodes.

The Mayor of Munchkinville story line was pretty, pretty good.

Good actor. He was completely believable as a mafia capo.

That wasn't actually Scorsese. It was an impersonator.
