I feel like if we can get Buccees to start the move it will take off like wildfire. It inspired me to add another one to the house Something I learned in the north Texas storms last month was that it’s essential to have a basic, no frills, non-heated, etc bidet. During the sporadic power failures, the BioBidet 2000 that’s in my master bath wouldn’t work, but the basic Luxe Bidet Neo 185s that I have in the other bathrooms worked fine. Of course it’s better to have a heated seat, heated water, etc., but being able to rely on the primitive no frills units is good contingency planning. As long as you don’t have to go back to the savage practice of smearing poop with toilet paper, you’re ok. We’re not savages, people.
June 18, 20241 yr Author No, you get a UPS or generator for your fancy bidet.Yep. Just put the generator in the bathtub.

July 8, 20241 yr My bidet is in the guest bath downstairs because there’s a plug there. My parents are staying with us for the next few weeks, and out of respect for them, I’m trying to keep the guest bath “theirs”. But I took a dump this afternoon and spent a better part of 5 minutes wiping and wiping and still poop. I love my parents, but they need to GTFO of my house.

You gotta add a no-frills, no plug bidet to every toilet. There is no reason to resort to smearing poop all over yourself in your own house.
July 9, 20241 yr No. You put a Toto on every toilet in the house. Because everyone deserves to Shit in Style (tm).
July 11, 20241 yr Started a 14 day colon cleanse Monday. Lovely to have one. Yikes, don’t go in there.
September 13, 20241 yr Just got back from a 7-night "luxury" cruise, but my asshole disagrees. Nothing quite like pooping back on home turf with a good bidet.
September 13, 20241 yr Yeah, I’m traveling a fair amount these days. Living in hotels or air BnBs is awful for many reasons, but particularly because I have no choice but to smear poop with paper like a savage.

October 2, 20241 yr Any opinion on smart toilets? My wife wants a non-so-cheap Woodbridge or Horo. For the price I’d rather get a tried and true Toto toilet and bidet seat. It won’t looks as nice, but there is no history on these brands and who knows how reliable they are.

BTW, price on the Toto K300 dropped from $630 to $530 on Amazon. Ordered one for my throne room. The kids get a C5 like the one in the downstairs bath. It's $405. Or should I spoil their asses and also get them a K300?
November 26, 20241 yr I’m proud to announce the bathrooms (2 of ‘em) are fully renovated with Toto K300s on the cans. There is absolutely no reason to leave the house with a dirty butthole.

December 30, 2024Dec 30 Has anyone put a bidet seat on a round toilet? My new toilet closet is small, so a round toilet will work a lot better than an elongated, but I read one review that said bidets take up too much room in round toilets.

February 15Feb 15 Toto Washlet available at Costco for $399. I couldn’t find a perfect comparison on other sites because, in general and with this specific model, product models sold at Costco are usually slightly different than those sold at retail outlets.
February 18Feb 18 Author I bought a bidet for a friend of mine that has ignored my advice to get one for years and had it delivered to his house.
May 1May 1 Alrighty then, let’s do this. School me on a smart toilet. Master bath being redone this fall, so starting to get things together. There is access to power, and whatever else needed.
May 9May 9 Just got back from Japan and Ms. MO fell in love with the toilets. We downsized several years ago and now just rent an apartment. If not, we would have bought one for every bathroom before we left the country. They are great
May 9May 9 It appears that I may have punished the toilet in my shittorium to such an extent that I either need to replace the internals (again...) or else replace it with a Toto or similar. It's just a shitty (haha) contractor grade Glacier Bay/Fluid Master, and based on my last experience trying to fix it, the stock parts are fucking impossible to find and the more common parts have to be jerry rigged into place and eventually crap out anyway. I've only ever used the $30 bolt-on bidets, not the fully integrated, fancier shit. So my question for the peanut gallery (specifically, anyone who is familiar with both the fancy ones and the cheapo bolt-ons) is whether the fancy ones have the same or better pressure, aiming, etc. I am uninterested in heated water, and I affirmatively dislike anything but a cold seat, so I am not quite sure what additional benefits the fancy versions will offer me. Any thoughts? Edited May 9May 9 by Prepuce of Doom
May 15May 15 Been dealing with hemorrhoids and went ahead and got this guy for about $60. Day 1 and I’m a new man.

I have those Luxe units on every toilet in my house and guest cabin, except for my master bathroom. That one is reserved for the Bio Bidet 2000. Blissful throne experience. Why in the world would a person be ok with having human feces smeared on them, just wipe it off with some paper, and go about their day? Edited May 15May 15 by nnm

We have Toto washlets all around the house. My MIL has Toto smart toilet at her place. To me, the main difference is the smart toilet will flush for you. Some have lights, but I have good night vision and know where to aim. I also chose to go the washlet route because if one of them breaks, I can replace one, and not the entire thing. You can get a Toto washlet for <$300. You can get a basic cold-water, cold-seat one for easily <$100. But why would you? Big Toto fanboi here. The nozzles on mine can move back and forth for the desired aim. The pressure is strong enough that I usually set it in the middle pressure setting. Might as well get an enema if you go to level 5. And no heated seat and warm water? What are you? An animal?

May 22May 22 @Prepuce of Doom to answer your question, though, no, in my experience the stream from a plug in toilet will not be as strong as the water pressure stream from a $30 model unless thestand-alones/smart toilets have some significant jet motor powered internals that the add ons do not have. I've had a few of the expensive ones, even returned one that wasn't powerful enough. I did some research and the plug in add on model with the strongest stream is the Bio Bidet 2000. It is what I currently use in my own bathroom. It has an enema mode which is quite a bit stronger than any of the other add on models I've used and I like it a lot but it is still not as powerful as the $30 water pressure model when you crank it all the way up. The warm seat and water have grown on me as have the awesome neon lights, remote and cool beeps. It has a built in fan which is nice but I find the heated blower pretty useless but maybe that's because I'm blasting my ass and taint with enema mode.
May 22May 22 The thing about bidets is they don’t clean the fucking toilet. The lid and bowl still looks like a 76 truck stop nightmare because my wife refuses to use the toilet brush and some Clorox wipes after a few eruptions.
May 28May 28 Sad day in TRW household as after 8 years my Toto Washlet appears to be on the fritz. It started to glitch out a few weeks ago and would misfire during the self cleaning mode and spray water on the floor. Then this week I noticed that it started to deploy inconsistently and now pressure is almost gone unless I crank it up to enema mode. I think the hard east Texas water has gummed up the internals to the point where buildup is blocking the flow. Has anyone else had this problem? I'm going to make a last ditch effort to take it apart and soak the filter in vinegar to see if that fixes it, but I might be in the market for another Toto soon. Edited May 28May 28 by The Royal We

I put it in cleaning mode to extend the wand and sprayed vinegar directly on the nozzles. That sort of worked, so I did it again and put the solution in a zip lock bag and secured it to the wand so that the nozzles were in the solution. After 5 minutes or so I removed it and it went to self clean and after that the pressure was much better. I have hard ass water too. It sounds like you might have another issue though, if water is spraying around.

But yea, something else wonky is going on too. I don't know why it would yeet water across the room when the wand self cleans, but I can just leave that disabled if I can get the pressure back up. Thank you!
