KST is bad on the road. We suck at home.

Unstoppable force versus immovable object

So if Texas wins tonight, everyone breathes a sigh of relief. If Texas loses tonight, are we fucked for life, or at least this season?

Pretty much. It's a must-win game for KSU, and basically the same for Texas (pending some road upsets we don't see as likely).

yeah if we lose tonight we’re staring 7-11 in the face, plus a 2-5 finish to the regular season (more likely to be 1-6 than 3-4 if we lose tonight). huge game.

Wouldn't this be more appropriate?

Hopefully we'll come out like we did in our last must-win home game.

Would going 7-11 mean we need to win the conference tournament?

Probably depends on who the two wins are against. If for some weird reason they win one of the remaining road games but finish 7-11 (unlikely), they would have a decent argument with 4 Q1 road wins and a NET that would be respectable. And as we’ve discussed, a 7-11 Big 12 team has made it each of the last two years while avoiding the play-in game.

7-11 where the two wins are KSU and OSU won’t be good enough and would require noise in Kansas City.

Didn’t someone post the stat the other day about teams with a NET above 40 and the likelihood of making the tournament? We are currently 33rd.

Nah. Probably just a game or two.

I don't want to FAFO though. 8-10 at least. 9-9 would be much better.

That was me.  I believe no team ranked under 38 has ever failed to make the tournament.

Bracket Matrix has us as an aggregate 8 seed FWIW.

Max just struggles shooting off the dribble...

ugh

Yeah but maybe the committee will consider that RT is our coach and some Surly posters don't like him and leave us out

he's electric alright.  Like a toaster dropping into a bathtub.

The effort level of this team is subpar generally. I don't really blame the players, they're clearly not coached to play with the right level  of intensity.

as much as the media said we just "had to hire him, not hiring him would be a travesty", the media should be pumping him up like crazy

K-St uniform color is femine.

powder purple not your thing?

we need to feed Disu and have him win the game for us.  anything else is stupid.

Disu playing like this is an elimination game … abmas and Hunter don’t seem warmed up yet

Considering Kansas State scored like 400 points their last trip to Austin I’ll take this defensive effort.

what the hell is Getty's talking about with Horton?  he means nothing to this team and he's made 1 3pointer.

Horton makes one 3 and all of a sudden thinks he is AJ Abrams.

tbf he’s always thought he was aj abrams.

Get Horton off the floor

Just let them get a rebound on the missed FT

Disu is literally Xavier Worthy when it comes to him always looking like he is out for the season then returning to the game 2 minutes later.

this is just shitty awful basketball.  we are a complete disaster.  KSU is playing fucking awful and we are up 4.

Hunter getting pissed at K-St..  Hopeful get him scoring.

Ugly basketball by two shitty teams.  Disu doesn’t deserve this level of shit.   Wish Mitchell was a year older.   The guard play is maybe the worst I’ve seen at Texas.  God help us all.

this shooting is high school girls level.  my god.

As with last game, we were doing great until RT insists on inserting the Horton Shedrick Cunningham weaver Abmas lineup and we lose all momentum

that lineup sucks every time and get he still goes with it. It makes no sense
