July 26, 20241 yr God dammit I rented this a couple of nights ago having no idea it drop to MAX. I enjoyed it though.
July 27, 20241 yr Watched this on Max last night and liked it even though anything with dementia or Alzheimer’s depresses the shit out of me. Marsden was good.
July 27, 20241 yr Solid flick. Keaton showed a deft touch as a director and wore his love of noir on his sleeve.
August 9, 20241 yr I didn’t love it. We never see Keaton as a competent hitman. Movie starts with him being a disaster and trying to work around it.

I actually think that's why it worked for me. You could see how good he was at certain aspects, like when the prostitute and her henchmen pay him a visit and he handles it in short order. But there's also the other side of coin with the botched hit with Muncie. I thought it worked well. Keaton is such a fantastic actor who probably doesn't get the accolades he deserves.

August 11, 20241 yr The pew pew silencer kills it for me, but God bless Michael Keaton! Hollywood basically wrote him off decades ago around the time they did the same to Steve Gutenberg, yet he keeps absolutely killing these roles.
