June 26Jun 26 So fucking in. Love that he doesn't shy away taking on iconic films/stories with very opinionated fan bases. He has elevated everything he's touched.
June 26Jun 26 Quote “Some of my earliest movie-going memories are connected to 007. I grew up watching James Bond films with my father, ever since Dr. No with Sean Connery. I’m a die-hard Bond fan. To me, he’s sacred territory,” said Villeneuve in a statement released by Amazon MGM Studios Wednesday. “I intend to honor the tradition and open the path for many new missions to come. This is a massive responsibility, but also, incredibly exciting for me and a huge honor,” he added. Immense talent and lifelong respect for the franchise? Yes, please.

I guess if this is your position then yeah, that makes sense. I really like the OG Blade Runner but it's not up there nearly that high for me.

I don't think liking the new one better is crazy. But it isn't like Dune where he completely blew the doors off of the Lynch version. That's all I'm getting at.

June 27Jun 27 Rendezvous with Rama surprised me, I never really expected that IP to hit the big screen any time soon. I read some of those books as a kid.
