February 21Feb 21 New bracketology has us up to a 9 seed, against 8 Creighton. Winner gets slaughtered by Duke

February 25Feb 25 The Arkansas game is going to be like a tourney game. Whoever loses very well may miss the tourney.

I said that Vandy was the must win, then they beat Kentucky to make up for it but the crater they left in SoCar did them in. I can't see them doing better than 2-2 here. I find it hard to believe this team is in at 7-11 but apparently the bubble is soft, SEC good, and the SEC tournament games are a wildcard.
February 25Feb 25 I just don’t think we miss the tournament even at 7-11, which is what I think we will be at the end of the season. The SEC is too strong of a conference.
February 27Feb 27 if we are left out of the tourney field, not only should we decline an invite to the NIT, but if we did accept an invite to the NIT then i would expect Tre to sit that out and prepare for the draft, which is all the more reason to decline in the first place.
February 28Feb 28 Being 7-11 in the SEC and the only conference win for South Carolina would be pretty ugly. Even more so because Texas got blown out by the Gamecocks. Edited February 28Feb 28 by NBHorn7

March 5Mar 5 So if we beat blOU next weekend, how many SEC tourney wins do we need to make it to the NCAA tournament? I'm guessing at least one, probably need two to feel completely safe.

W over OU and an L in the first round of the conference tourney and Texas has a decent shot. W over OU and a win in the conference tourney Texas should be in.
March 9Mar 9 This year's roster was indeed worse than last years. Same directional school coaching staff.

March 10Mar 10 I thought Pope would get first-team "tear your fucking hair out everytime he has the ball". Maybe Kent too.

Man, I give Tre MORE credit for fighting through the shitshow that was his team to win the conference scoring title. It's not like he's a one-dimensional player, either.

March 13Mar 13 So, Oklahoma winning or losing tonight has no affect on our first-four status, right? We would need North Carolina to lose tomorrow against Wake Forrest? Assuming we get past A&M.
March 13Mar 13 Actually, I've decided that Oklahoma losing tonight will bump us up to Last-Four. Book it! Just gotta hope the selection committee agrees with Lunardi, or favors TX more than he does. Edited March 13Mar 13 by ATXbronco
