I want to say we'll match last year's win total but I worry about the pitching rotation. So I'll go 86 wins and a wildcard spot.

I agree. I just think the lineup is going to shred and we'll find a way to piece things together rotation wise.

Might need to get some meaningful innings from DeGrom to get to 90, though.

91-71, beat the same 3 teams we beat last year in the same order in the ALCS, beat the Braves in 7 in an epic series…

I think Ray Davis’ estate planner should have told him he could afford to bring Monty back. He’s not even buying green bananas at this point.

I hope the bullpen is improved but I see us having to slug our way through the first half until the trio of injured pitchers come back (I’ll be happy it 2 of the 3 make it back).

OD Roster ChangesPitchers: 2023 (deGrom, Hearn, Hernandez, Kennedy, Perez, Ragans, Smith) 2024 (Bradford, Latz, Robertson, Rodriguez, Sborz, Urena, Yates)Hitters: 2023 (Garver, Lowe, Grossman, Miller, Thompson)2024 (Knizner, Walsh, Carter, Langford, Taveras)

As funny as those last three '23 hitters are, they will forever be able to flash the ring.

This is really good, Tepid already in midseason form.

Happy for Jake. Tough kid whose injury list early in his career coulda filled a 3-ring binder. Pitched briefly at LSU where his teammates included current Detroit Tigers closer Alex Lange and shortstop Kramer Robertson whose Mom is really, REALLY mad at the Washington Post. https://t.co/PfHfQNE5Bd

Awesome

On the eve of Opening Day, a little reminder of just how damn magical last year was for the Rangers. 67mph cue shot from the Apex Predator, through an abandoned hot corner, cracks open the door. https://t.co/5Ahnde9yMf

Sorry, so close, you actually need to be one of the first 10 replies or you're a fair weather fan who probably sleeps in Astros jammies.

I’ll take 94-68 holding off the Astros and Mariners to finally win the division outright.

#20

93-69.  We win the division and make it at least to the ALCS, if not the WS again.

This lineup....

The Texas Rangers today announced that the club has traded RHP Zak Kent to the Cleveland Guardians in exchange for international bonus pool money. With this move, Texas now has 39 players on its 40-man roster, along with RHP's Carson Coleman and Jacob deGrom on the 60-day IL.

Wilson said Max may not go on the 60 because he’s ahead of schedule, so that extra spot was needed.

that needs to be changed.

our rotation is a huge question mark but i'm optimistic about our bullpen.

Not getting any respect from the sporting press either. Most pick the Astros or Mariners to win the division.

Feels very strange to not have an afternoon opener.  Somehow even more so when playing the team that plays half their games in the afternoon.

Agreed but that’s the price you pay when you’re the prime time opening day game on ESPN.

Sborz wasn't OD last year?

I can't see how one can expect to repeat the ridiculous start of last year, but I also can't see how we aren't scoring a dozen runs a game with this offense.  It's what we pretended we were in the 90s, except this time with top tier D.

It’s probably going to have to be the opposite this year- tread water and stay close and then close strong when pitchers get back (with all caveats about injury and age for them).

I guess I missed this: the color guy never played baseball?

Which network are you referring to?

Bally will be Murph, Valle, or Bacsik all season.

Tonight is Ravech, Eduardo, Cone.

Wife sent me that, maybe he's listed for radio? I'm confused.

I guess he's Dave's backup. That would make more sense. Everyone relax, okay?
