March 27, 20241 yr Season opens at home tomorrow night against the Cubs - 6:35 first pitch. Call your shots. I'll go 92-70
March 27, 20241 yr I want to say we'll match last year's win total but I worry about the pitching rotation. So I'll go 86 wins and a wildcard spot.
March 27, 20241 yr Popular Post 117 wins. Sweep the bitchass Astros regular season and playoffs. Carter/Langford co-rookie of the year Eovaldi Cy Young Seager MVP Bochy MoY Back-to-back champs. LET'S FUCKIN' GO
March 27, 20241 yr 88 wins with a strong close to the season to make the playoffs and a team that absolutely nobody wants to play.

I just think the lineup is going to shred and we'll find a way to piece things together rotation wise. Might need to get some meaningful innings from DeGrom to get to 90, though.

March 28, 20241 yr 91-71, beat the same 3 teams we beat last year in the same order in the ALCS, beat the Braves in 7 in an epic series…
March 28, 20241 yr I think Ray Davis’ estate planner should have told him he could afford to bring Monty back. He’s not even buying green bananas at this point. I hope the bullpen is improved but I see us having to slug our way through the first half until the trio of injured pitchers come back (I’ll be happy it 2 of the 3 make it back). 91-71
March 28, 20241 yr As funny as those last three '23 hitters are, they will forever be able to flash the ring.

Sorry, so close, you actually need to be one of the first 10 replies or you're a fair weather fan who probably sleeps in Astros jammies.
March 28, 20241 yr I’ll take 94-68 holding off the Astros and Mariners to finally win the division outright.
March 28, 20241 yr 93-69. We win the division and make it at least to the ALCS, if not the WS again. This lineup....
March 28, 20241 yr Wilson said Max may not go on the 60 because he’s ahead of schedule, so that extra spot was needed.
March 28, 20241 yr Feels very strange to not have an afternoon opener. Somehow even more so when playing the team that plays half their games in the afternoon.
March 28, 20241 yr I am very disappointed that the thread title doesn't read: DEFENDING CHAMPIONS. Edited March 28, 20241 yr by TrashMaster G

March 28, 20241 yr I am very disappointed that the thread title doesn't read: DEFENDING CHAMPIONS.Not getting any respect from the sporting press either. Most pick the Astros or Mariners to win the division.

March 28, 20241 yr I can't see how one can expect to repeat the ridiculous start of last year, but I also can't see how we aren't scoring a dozen runs a game with this offense. It's what we pretended we were in the 90s, except this time with top tier D.

It’s probably going to have to be the opposite this year- tread water and stay close and then close strong when pitchers get back (with all caveats about injury and age for them).

Wife sent me that, maybe he's listed for radio? I'm confused. I guess he's Dave's backup. That would make more sense. Everyone relax, okay? Edited March 28, 20241 yr by ConferenceRoom
