gonna cross post this. But during the Rangers/Astros game my 5 year old daughter comes out and see an Astros player bating(It was Yainer Diaz, not Altuve). Her "Is that short fuck Altuve?"

Angels foolishly going with a RHP instead of bringing up a random lefty from their farm system.

Rangers roll.

You need to hush.

Shit. My comments on a sports forum yet again ordained the outcome.

I promise to be better.

But factually, they did win the game before after I committed to pessimism.

Therefore, we're doomed. This team sucks. They'll get destroyed week in and week out.

I got curious about something and decided to look it up on Baseball Reference. Our average attendance last year was 31,272 per game. This year we're averaging 31,243 per game. Now I wanna be fair, our average attendance through 5/18 is larger than it was last year. Through 24 games we've seen 80,000 more fans at the ballpark and the average per game is up by 3,000. But after winning the first World Series in franchise history and first championship in DFW since the Mavs won in 2011 you'd think the average attendance would be up by a lot rather than flat. Arizona is seeing an explosion of fan attendance. Through 5/18 they've welcomed 255,000 more fans through the same number of games as last season.

I'd imagine that's about to tick up fairly high with school letting out.  And let's not forget that the Rangers are competing with entertainment dollars against 2 local teams in the Conference Finals in their respective leagues.  I'd say that's a huge sign of good faith by the fans.

Rangers making LHPs look like Cy Young candidates much of the year. Now facing an LHP actual Cy Young candidate.

Grossman, it's time to do something, anything, Mr. Lefty Specialist.

Hill with good RR numbers. He can't be worse than what we've been doing lately.

The way both teams are playing right now, I will be mildly surprised if we're not swept.  No bueno.

Lefty starter and the best team record in baseball versus my Rangers' offense.   I feel like I am going to be able to switch over to the 7pm Longhorn game without firing up a second screen.

If you give them a couple of tries they eventually get it

Corey stunk up that last at bat.  Looked like he knew he was swinging before the guy even started his pitch on the first and last pitches.

New guy can stay.

Watched him hit a HR on Sunday. Express offense is about as potent as the big team’s, though.

Gray left with groin tightness. Not that it matters. Bats are playing tighter than anything.

Dunning activated tomorrow.

Outside of 40-20 and the playoffs, Rangers are mediocre as fuck. Now moving toward less than mediocre.

But oh those playoffs. Good times.

Sounds like the strength and conditioning coach needs to reevaluate his program.
