Fuck those mouthbreather homer announcers who lose a series and keep mentioning their "blowout win" when we blew their shitty asses out for more runs yesterday! Go to Hell Forever, fuckstick-stat

  • Nice to turn the tables on these asshats. Sure would be nice to take the series tomorrow.

See you ya fucks. Glad to get series win. Just need to quit taking games off.

If we can go 5-1 against BYU and Houston then maybe this season isnt dead yet.

Win 2 out of 3 the rest of the season . . . not an easy feat . . . we'd be 35-20 going into conference tournament.  Historically, that's borderline host territory.

Need our ace to get his balls back, biggest concern from the weekend.

Huge series win. If there was ever a day to turn the season around, it was today. Hopefully we keep rolling.

Well, these guys definitely have some fight in them.  Just need that to spread to some of the arms, particularly our ace.  Hook ‘em.

Up to 54 in RPI (78 after the loss on Thursday).  Our friends from USD are right above us.

We end up winning about 2/3 of our games in Manhattan over the course of the Big 12 experience.

Our ace right now is Ace/Boogey, not Johnson.

In 5 innings over the last 2 years, we have one hit against Neighbors, which was a two-out single by Thomas in last year's game.

Is that good?

One thing I’ll always give Pierce credit for is his teams (outside of 2019) always fight. Right when you are about to bury them they come through to suck you back in.

It was true at the time of publication.

Well look at that. Keep winning series.

This conference is fucking ass.

I wouldn't cry about a B12 title but I don't think any of these series are a good litmus test for where Texas is as a team. There's like 7 or 8 teams in the SEC better than us.

We don’t play weekend series against the SEC and it’s an irrelevant topic. Only time we play the SEC for the most part is in round robin classics or midweek games.

When we have played weekend series we have faired fine. This team has the capability to be good if Lebarron can find some stones and Pierce can get out of the way because he over manages the shit out of games sometimes

Dude, who gives a shit? This KState team was clearly better than us too, right?

I mean - it's a very relevant topic considering we're joining the conference next season.

I never said that or thought that. I just think Texas is going to need to do a bit more than go 2/3 against the B12 this season to make any noise at all in the postseason. The conference is pretty clearly down. "Ranked" OU just got swept by fucking Lamar.

I think we should all be able to agree that Texas needs to be better and more consistent from here on out than we have been. In the series win against Tech we gave up 7 runs every game. In this series we weren't competitive in one of the games. We lost a game at home to a shitass Baylor team.

I'm glad they're scrapping and staying alive and taking advantage of a bad conference - but they're going to need to do more to have any hope of making a run this season.

Also, hook em. Definitely enjoyed that one today. Especially going yard back to back on the 2nd coming of Mariano.

Having a Sunday starter like Max Grubbs is a luxury we haven’t had since Pete Hansen moved from the midweek starter to Sunday starter in 2021 after the Kolby Kubichek experiment failed.

Man, I agree.  Feels like Sat/Sun are better than usual, and Friday is struggling a bit but we know he can pitch.  If it all winds up as a solid 3-man starter rotation, it makes taking any series a lot more likely.

Beyond hosting and getting an easier path, baseball post season success has almost nothing to do with the regular season. All that matters is being hot at the right time. We just need to take it one game at a time and get into the tournament. Next year is next year. Yes, we need to bring in transfers if we want to win the SEC. Maybe our portal additions next year won’t all get hurt and/or quit the game, that would be cool.

One of these years Pierce will figure out who his best 3 pitchers are before the season

Or maybe our NIL will improve further.

And honestly I wouldn’t mind moving Ace up and Lebarron back but I know Pierce will not do that.

We'll see what happens. I think we're a little light on arms to have any shot of making serious noise but they for sure have some pop. Need to clean some shit up on D, as well.

LBJ has earned the right to get more time to work things out. He was pretty good against Washington and Baylor before the bullpen coughed up the leads. It isn’t like he is just stringing together poor start after poor start.

Charlie Hurley just going off a cliff hurt bad. Partly because of how good he supposedly looked in the fall. I wasn’t expecting him to be Superman but I figured he would at least be a semi reliable weekend guy who could go 5ish innings and keep an ERA under 5.00.

Baylor he gave up 9 hits, his good outings have come against bad offenses.

It’s not a benching, I would hope he could handle getting knocked back to Saturday. Believe Ace’s consistency and ability to go deeper into games sets up our limited bullpen better for the rest of the weekend.

He has gotten the ball 7 times this year and gone more than 6 innings just 3. Can’t have that on Friday.

He was in my section. He talked some shit to players from our side and guy in section next took umbrage. Guy in section next was leaving and said something and Neighbors got a bit gruntled.

next thing I see is cops asking Mr neighbors to leave lol

It’s almost annoying. Keep taking 2 of 3 and let’s see what this rag tag group can do in the postseason.

Huh

theyve won series against Arizona and Michigan
