No one believes in us this year. B-ref has us finishing last, fucking Zips has us finishing behind Baltimore (lol) in the East. Watching the O’s crash and burn this year is going to be awesome. Definition of a pretender team. There’s nothing left for us to do but prove all the haters wrong and just win.

Predictions for this current series?

2-2 lame split. Neither team is anything close to full strength.

How many in a row is that vs the Astros? 5? Tide has clearly turned finally

We saw how that went last year. Congrats on 70-92

Thread title is offensive. The word Yankees and those of Alamo hero, Colonel William Travis should never be used in the same breath. Almost as bad, “Never Surrender “ is a MAGA rallying cry. Delete thread and ban OP.

You know you guys look washed. This is not even a full strength yankee team. You have all your regular bats and are just currently injury fucked on the starting pitching side.

Soto seems like he might be good at this sport.

I still remember seeing him hit his first homer in Yankee Stadium. He was 19 and the ball just sounded different. The only two players I have ever heard hit a ball like that does was himself and Yordan Alvarez. Just a completely different level of power with those two guys.

Astros announcers are massive vaginas. Crying that about a clear ball on judge being called a ball.

7 wins in a row. Also Jasssson is obliterating Low-A pitching so far during his rehab starts. Hopefully he’s back up in Triple-A/MLB land in a couple weeks.

How'd that last playoff series turn out? I forget.

Cole K’s 5 in his first rehab start. Also Jassson’s rehab moves up to Triple-A after he batted .316 in 10 games at Double-A

Jasson dead again.

Quote

Yankees outfielder Jasson Domínguez is going to miss a lot time with an oblique strain. SNY relayed video on X of manager Aaron Boone discussing the issue, with the skipper saying Domínguez will miss “up to eight weeks” before he can play in games because the strain is “pretty significant.”

Judge just had 2 of the best months offensively in baseball history. He’s got an outside shot at getting to 100 RBIs in July. And that’s with Anthony Volpe as his leadoff man. Imagine if he had an actual MLB caliber batter up there instead.

Yes, still. Like Josh Hader still hasn’t matched his career high in homers allowed even though he’s over halfway there.

He’s been out with an oblique injury the past month. He’s supposed to rejoin Scranton this week, but I’m about ready to write him off and change the avatar. He’s made of glass. And so maybe he comes back up to the Yankees and does great. Then what? The organization development path will fuck him up and he’ll just end up sucking anyway. How embarrassing is it that Judge has a private batting coach and takes no technical instruction from team coaches, because he knows what dumbfucks they are? That’s how shitty our entire org is. And our pets heads are falling off.

Rutchsman is so overrated

Austin Wells .360 xwOBA116 wRC+6 FRVAdley Rutschman .334 xwOBA117 wRC+ 0 FRVAustin Wells also has a 2.4 fWAR in 229 PAs compared to Adley’s 2.5 in 436. That’s similar production in half the playing time. It’s time to discuss who the best catcher in the AL East is

These numbers ignore the fact that Wells is a fucking platoon bat; don't know why anyone would compare him to Rutschmann.

It remains to be see if it can be maintained, but Wells has clearly provided better value than Ruts this year.
