Pretty perfect game to take a three year old to. Was over before he got too bored and got to see a couple homers. Thanks @UTPhil2006 for the suggestion about the first game certificate, had plenty of

I’m just glad I survived another season of being the official thread starter. Thank you all for your continued support in this emotional time.   In more ways than one with tonight’s result:

I’m so glad we didn’t pursue a bat. We definitely don’t need it when we lose so many games 1-0 and 3-1. How often do we lose 12-11, but we bitch about pitching way more and I’ve never understood it. We needs bats. Our offense blows ass and is inconsistent af.

What's crazy is we have one of the better offenses in the AL.

Yea that’s crazy considering we explode for runs then can’t score for weeks consistently yet it averages out as a “better offense”. We definitely aren’t explosive and come playoff time we will get shut down a lot and hope pitching can keep it close and pray we have one inning we score a crooked number.

Spencer Arrighetti's 12 strikeouts was the most by an @Astros pitcher this season! After the game he talked about what was working for him and why today's performance shows why he doesn't read into a poor pregame bullpen session!#Relentless

Kaleb Ort since he has joined the Astros system this year:

AAA: 1.13 ERA, 1.06 WHIP in 16 games

Astros: 1.35 ERA, 0.45 WHIP in 4 games

Whitcomb continues to rake, went 4-for-5 with another HR and 4 RBI today at Dell Diamond.

On the team’s pregame radio show on @SportsTalk790, GM Dana Brown said “We may have to call a young guy up from the Minor Leagues" to play 1B. He mentioned Whitcomb and Dezenzo as possibilities to give Singleton a breather. Whitcomb played at 1B on Saturday.

DO IT DANA. Call him up and play him at first base.

They’d have to cut A Diaz to bring up Shay or Zach, right?
do it

Yes. The least difficult cut in the history of MLb I would call that.

Let's roll with AAA guys that are producing no reason to just keep throwing Chas, Meyers, singleton, dubon out there and hoping something comes up.    Big miss at the trade deadline now we are have to try and find lightning in a bottle.

When was Yordan's last homer? Feels like it's been a month.

July 21st. I bet he hits one on this upcoming road trip. Might be the only run the Astros score in that game.

Seattle has added 3 players since June and they have a 172, 160, and 120 OPS+ currently. Their only current regular that is close is Cal Raleigh at 114.

I would like to see Melton, Matthews, and Dezenzo next year in Houston. If we shit the bed on this upcoming road trip, I would like to see them in Houston in September.

Would love to have seen thier career numbers playing at mmp thier whole career. Especially if Cammy had stayed healthy but what we loved about him was how hard he played the game. Dude was 110% all the time. Glad to see him get recognize this year

Bregman finally does something......bases empty.    I can't ever be happy.

The way things are going, that might be our only run.
