Pretty perfect game to take a three year old to. Was over before he got too bored and got to see a couple homers. Thanks @UTPhil2006 for the suggestion about the first game certificate, had plenty of

Yusei Kikuchi is through three scoreless innings on 40 pitches with his velocity noticeably down across the board. Unsure if that's normal for him or something to monitor, but the results have been fine.

I get why they are so high on the analytics for ZD. Ball flies off it, that single look like it got in on him a little and was still 106 off, 104 on line out, 95 on double.

Good lord.

Kukuchi down to 91/92 on the fastball

Was it down that low the entire game or just the last inning or two?

Yusei Kikuchi's first two starts as an Astro: 11 IP, 7 H, 4 ER, 6 BB, 17 K.

He was down a couple most of the game, but it didn't drop a lot until the end.  Usually big velocity drops get you pulled immediately, so I am assuming the drop in the beginning was by design.  The Astros may have decided he was overthrowing.  Maybe that's why he had a tendency to chunk fastballs right down the pipe occasionally.

Dezenzo might be something.  He doesn't look like a rookie at the plate.

I think he's gonna be a much better hitter.  He has a very quick bat.

Stable consistent singelton numbers is a great start
