I’m not hating on Hader. I’m happy to have him.

I just think there’s some playing around with the numbers on some of these “records”

Justin Verlander picked up a strikeout in a scoreless first inning for Sugar Land! He was up to 94.8 MPH. #Astros

#16406
Verlander through 1 IP: -17 pitches, 10 strikes -walk -1-pitch groundout -strikeout (swinging) -flyout Fastball was 93.5-94.8 mph Curveball 77.2-77.8 mph Slider 84.3-86.9 mph Changeup 85-85.3 mph#Astros

Verlander has experienced some adversity in the 2nd inning, giving up a triple, then an RBI double for the first run. He recovered with a four-pitch strikeout, issued a seven pitch walk and limited the damage getting the next batter to ground into a fielder's choice double play.

So...a typical Pressly 8th

"Health is first and foremost, the hard thing with coming back on rehab starts is you don't have as many starts to fine-tune all your mechanics like we do in spring training. You have to be a bit critical in execution and try to get better next time out." (2/2)

Wheres the next start?

Sugar Land is in Tacoma until the 20th.

Hooks are in Arkansas next week, so assume there.

hopefully he’ll be back by the end of the Red Sox series at home

Alex Cora’s got a lot of nerve getting upset at Verlander for trying to fix his PitchCom considering Cora is the reason we need PitchCom in the first place.

My understanding is that you have to score in order to win in this game.. which the Mets have not yet done in Seattle this weekend.

Any word on whether he was able to pick up any tips from his teammate, Rafael Montero?

Soon.....whatever that means..

#16427

Fucking Espada didn't tell the media I was meeting them in Tampa (St. Pete) also....horseshit

Scoring exactly 9 today, guaranteed.  Hope it's enough for Pressly.

What's the MLB record for most consecutive strikeouts by a batter?  Asking for Jake Myers.

Looks to be 9 by Reggie Jackson, Bo Jackson, Eric Davis and several others
