I miss the Whataburger of the 90s and 2000s. Used to reliably get a piping hot burger with melted cheese back in the day. Sad how far it’s gone downhill.

Pretty perfect game to take a three year old to. Was over before he got too bored and got to see a couple homers. Thanks @UTPhil2006 for the suggestion about the first game certificate, had plenty of

I’m just glad I survived another season of being the official thread starter. Thank you all for your continued support in this emotional time.   In more ways than one with tonight’s result:

We’re either gonna come back and win 9-6 or get blown out 15-0. I have a feeling I know which one is coming.

Every time I've been in the last year, it's exactly the same as it's always been.

San Felipe and Woodway, Westheimer and Wesleyan and the Shepherd locations are not the same as they used to be.

Wow. HPU is ass. If you can't call the inside corner, what are you doing?

Honestly, have some respect for yourself as a ball club.

Switching over from Astros game to a women’s college basketball game. This is definitely a first

Astros were road warriors last year. If tonight is a sign of things to come, and goes along with our already established home struggles, this could be a rough season.

Pretty sure it’s hard to draw any definitive conclusions of how this team will perform on the road after 8 innings (or even at home after 7 games).

Definitely will go 0-81 on the road imo

Jose Abreu in the last three years:

2022 | .824 OPS
2023 | .680 OPS
2024 | .296 OPS

🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺

I wonder how long till espada benches abreu. Outside of maybe a day off I don’t see them benching him long term. We have so many fucking issues right now you’re just hoping we don’t tail spin too much and get in a massive hole in April that it takes two full months to get back to a contender.

espada is holding back the Singelton era !!!

id rather see bregman hitting #2, yordan #3 or #4. It’s worked pretty good on the past, when we were making the ALCS every year

Joey Loperfido gets a start at first base. Cooper Hummel makes his debut in left field. Joe Espada said today the Astros want Hummel to focus on the corner outfield spots and first base. He won’t be catching.

Who was the last $19.5 million per year starter to get benched?

Serious question.

Chris Davis, BJ Upton, Sandoval, MooseTacos, Rendon, Cespedes, Ellsbury, Hosmer, Cano?

Dont even bench him....release him. He's cooked

Didn’t love the signing when it happened but got  on board with it only being a 2 year deal.

…… oh wait

And I just tried to reassure myself but looking at his stats last year thinking he got off to a horrible start. Nope. Batting .333 at this same point last year (I already knew not to expect a HR until Memorial Day)

Why do we start this shit again on April 6?

Did we wear the blue cap with orange bill on the road last year this often?

2 for 2 so far in 2024.

Feel like it'll be 3 or 4 by the next time we bat.
