Pretty perfect game to take a three year old to. Was over before he got too bored and got to see a couple homers. Thanks @UTPhil2006 for the suggestion about the first game certificate, had plenty of

Latest conspiracy theory on the interwebz is that Chas died in the offseason and the family swapped in his identical twin brother Jason to collect the $2.85M salary this year.

Well now I regret wearing Heyward out in RF when the Dodgers were here

I expected this the moment his release was announced. I’m surprised it took this long.

Edit: I guess it took longer than I thought for him to clear waivers.

we need to put chas truthers on suicide watch

hate to see this astro career end  like this but time to sprinkle some astro magic dust in hayward

all the chas truthers, do the honorable thing ….

I remember when we were searching high and low for a left hand bat in the outfield. Now I think that’s all we have besides Meyers and Dubon. I’m assuming Chas is toast.
I had a feeling they would look at Heyward. Stat line isn’t great this year but his exit velocity is up from last year and he doesn’t strike out much. He can pinch hit for Meyers in extras a move that damn runner over to third almost every damn time. This is what I’ve been saying about getting bench bats. Get guys like Gamel and Haywood that have been in the league 10 years and had some success. Cheap. Not world beaters. But they will give competitive at bats and get a couple hits. Put the damn ball in play. It’s not like Madris, Cabbage, Hummel, Bannon and all the the other 4A guys we’ve tried that have no skins and swallow their nuts against big league pitching. I think by the end of September Whitcomb and Dezenzo are gonna also make for some tough decisions for playoff roster assuming they keep progressing and Singleton, Chas etc keep sucking.

Who the fuck are the chas truthers?

We could always trot Jason Heyward out there next

I look forward to the:

”we acquired Jason Heyward—released by the Dodgers—for cash” tweet memes when he terrorizes them in the World Series

thats 12’ 10” and 480 lb of OFers we’ve gotten from them.

Jason Hayward’s last at bat with the Dodgers was a pinch hit 3 run homer in bottom of the 8th to beat the Mariners. Hes already done more to help the Astros than Chas the last week.

Signing him also probably means we've seen the last of Tucker this year

Well, Mrs. McCormick for one. That’s all I got.

Dubon is back

Chas isn’t done with the stros. He has options left. They will send him to the minors and try it again next year.

He should go down and consider it a rehab assignment for next 30 days. See what happens. Maybe he will see Tucker down there.

If Tucker still can't run full speed at this point, I don't think he's playing again this year.

That's probably the actual reason for this move.

Tucker is sprinting in the outfield! Running bases next!

Finally some sanity. He’s under contract til ‘27 and has options left. If anything this just means his arb number is gonna be low this off-season

Singleton putting on a show like Dottie Hinson when catching at first.

I bet if Heyward is in RF last night instead of McCormick, Schwarber doesn't score on that single from Harper.

And Bregman is Kat that can’t lay off the high heat

We’re not gonna go far with our bullshit batting.

Well at least we wont blow a late game lead finally

Bregman's warning track power to RF was frustrating confirmation of that "all his homers are pulled" graphic.

Dubon bunting in that inning would not have disappointed me. So of course, he didn't even try.

This is so f’ing frustrating

Jake Meyers don't got that Dubon in him
