Pretty perfect game to take a three year old to. Was over before he got too bored and got to see a couple homers. Thanks @UTPhil2006 for the suggestion about the first game certificate, had plenty of

Hader is trash. Every pitch a meatball, hard hit.

73 mph and 89 mph on the first two batted balls

My 8-year-old looked at the batting line up last night and said, "Singleton batting 6th? We really have no hitters."

Which is funny because here is the ops+ around the diamond for the astros regulars:

Diaz- 152

Abreu- -36 (yikes!)

Altuve- 227

Pena- 160

Bregman- 50

Mccormick- 103

Meyers- 150

Tucker- 137

Alvarez- 147

Total- 117.

Abreu won't stay this bad.  Bregman won't stay this bad.  Altuve and Pena and Meyers won't stay this good.  Everything else looks about right to me- alvarez and tucker get a little better, probably chas as well, diaz a little worse- but at the end of the day this team is going to end up with an ops about 20% better than the league, which is where we are at right now, which is going to mean we are a top 5 type team in runs scored.  Our sequencing has sucked so far- that's about all there is to it.  That stuff happens in a 10 game sample size- it's not a big deal at all.  Last night we got the sequencing right and we won because of it (that and good pitching).
