Pretty perfect game to take a three year old to. Was over before he got too bored and got to see a couple homers. Thanks @UTPhil2006 for the suggestion about the first game certificate, had plenty of

Espada definitely likes to play with fire. I had texted my friends after the last inning ended and said I'd pull Brown. Seemed pretty obvious he didn't have his best stuff/control tonight.

Espada is really bad at managing a pitching staff. Amongst other things.

You mean besides the 6 up, 6 down by Abreu last night?

Yeah. It obviously happens at some point in most games, but it doesn't seem like it when there are 2-out hits to score critical runs in tight games. Maybe it's no more than other teams, but feels like our BP is having to pitch around a lot more traffic than they did for several years there.

Oy, this year’s team is hard to like

An exceedingly mediocre team by the standard of the past 7 years whose only saving grace has been playing in the weakest division in baseball.

Poorly constructed roster beset by injuries. Terrible record in close games and extra innings. Just not a very exciting product.

welp ….

Chas McCormick has a fracture in his right hand and is going on the IL, Joe Espada said.

x2 welp ….

Jose Altuve (right side discomfort) is currently getting treatment after feeling something on a swing in his last AB. He’s day to day.

With the caveat that he hadn’t spoken to the Astros’ trainers yet, Joe Espada sounded optimistic about Jose Altuve. Espada said he’s “not concerned it’s an oblique”

Altuve doesn’t seem concerned but they’ll know more tomorrow

McCormick says he has a small fracture below his index finger. He said he’ll be back at the end of the season. “It’s not a serious thing,” he said.

How will we replace -0.6 WAR in the meantime??!??!

Only thing that made that Singleton 'fly-out flip' tolerable was the hope that it brought a smile to Luis Valbuena somewhere in heaven.

There’s zero reason to be obtuse about injuries especially after you lied for 3 months about one

The Mariners have given me hope. They fired their manager and got back into the race. Maybe Crane will remove his head from his ass and clean house just so we can maintain a very slim lead.

Alright we are playing like shit, and that had to be the lowest attended game of the year.

How the hell did Espada not ITB Booker with the left on deck?
