Pretty perfect game to take a three year old to. Was over before he got too bored and got to see a couple homers. Thanks @UTPhil2006 for the suggestion about the first game certificate, had plenty of

Hader will be back. He’ll be just fine.

Abreu? Not so much

We are playing a first baseman essentially everyday who is hitting about .240 for the season.

Oh my mistake, that's not his average IT IS HIS MOTHERFUCKING GOD DAMN OPS.

I’m so sick of watching Abreu look like a feeble old man and Singleton stand around with that sour ass look on his face. I want them both gone. There were hardly even any smiles after the game. It’s just a dead dugout. Doesn’t look fun.

Jose Abreu is the worst free agent signing in Houston Astros history

Jim Carrey Yes GIF

What's even the competition?

A lot of people here sure did cuss Keith Law for calling it though...complete with saying his bat speed was way down 2nd half of 22.

Off the top of my head...

Carlos Lee - wasn't terrible but not worth the money on bad teams

Drabek/Swindell - neither lived up to the hype

Kaz Matsui

Jim Clancy - pretty bad as a Nolan "replacement".  Probably my 2nd place finisher.

Part of it is that McMullen and Drayton were so cheap and Crane won't give out long deals but I think Abreu is far and away the worst signing we've made.  We let Springer, Correa, Bregman?, and Tucker? walk for the fear of a few years of dead money after several more good years and then hand out a contract that is dead money from the start.

Justin Verlander has made 113 starts for the #Astros since being acquired in 2017. Here is his line:68-22, 2.36 ERA, 720.0 IP, 491 H, 128 BB, 888 KThat’s good for a 0.86 WHIP, 6.9 K/BB, and 22.6 WAR. The future hall of famer is back tonight. #Relentless

Justin Verlander spoke up after the Astros loss to the Braves on Wednesday, to rally the guys. (Per comments by Chas and Dubon to the Houston Chronicle)That's the leadership this team needed and I hope they build off that.

hopefully it went like this …

Julio Franco today could out hit Abreu …

4/20/2006: Julio Franco became the oldest #MLB player to ever hit a home run at 47 years and 240 days old.#Mets #LGM (via MLB) @RisingAppleBlog @MetsLegends
