Channel this properly and lets go kick their ass in game 6.

This kind of response worries me a little bit because it wasn't an unreasonable question. DeBoer usually seems pretty unflappable. His clap-back at Cowlishaw, a really, really good dude BTW, makes me think DeBoer was not happy with the performance and might be running out of ideas. He just wasn't going to throw his team under the bus. Perhaps I'm way-overthinking things as we stare off into the abyss this afternoon.

Getting back to the series, we just look tired. It's been said by several of you but that's what it looks like. This team has fought so hard after falling behind 0-2 to Vegas and maybe it's finally coming to a head. I hope I'm wrong because I can't remember the last time I wanted a team to win a championship as much as this one.

I think it was intentional and was one of his last ideas LOL. Show the team he's got their back while also clearly letting them know their character is being questioned (regardless of whether that was Cowlishaw's actual intent).   I think we'll know what this team has left by how the first 20 minutes go.

I'll add I fully expect Edmonton to come out looking for the early kill just like the Mavs did in game 5.  First 20 minutes should be fast paced and back and forth.  If it remotely resembles the 2nd period we are toast.

Yeah, I hear what you’re saying. He has to be feeling a bit puzzled at the moment. We knew defending these guys was going to be a challenge, but I don’t think anyone saw long periods of annihilation to our offensive game coming.

Exactly.  I told a gambler buddy to hammer the over 5.5 last game. I thought with Tanev out or playing injured our D would struggle but fully expected our offense to wake up and score 3-5 goals. I expected 8 combined goals minimum with someone winning 5-3 or 5-4.  I was shocked how they shut us down.

Calling a W with a…(don’t neg me, bruh) power play goal to boot. Es tiempo, puntos.

Happy Ice Hockey GIF by NHL

The last time the Stars won the Cup, we were tied at 2 games apiece in the Western Conference Finals with the Colorado Avalanche. We had the home game for Game 5, and we got boat raced 7-5.

We won the next 2 games with 4-1 scores.

I want to believe the last 10 minutes of Fridays game was us tearing the seal off the goal.

Mike keane ain’t skating through that door.

I was on the fence about drinking tonight but after that GD storm pouring a strong one and settling in.  Let's get this W

Do or die. We have two game 7’s back to back. We’re pretty fucking good at game 7’s. Lets just go kick their fucking asses in every phase.

So apparently the whole cross checking as an area of emphasis was just bullshit. pavelski gets shoved to the ground and then they call a soft trip on us.

Otter with a .000 save percentage. Is that bad?

On the bright side they didn’t give up a short hander.

thats all Edmonton needed was a soft penalty.

It was a slash. And necessary. He probably scores otherwise.

Wow. I hate the guy who blames refs but I am leaning that way like a stupid fucking aggy.

And they completely missed the high stick shove into the bench.

Yes, there’s that.

WTF was Tanev doing there?

Good night, Irene

4-for-last-5 PP goals. Brutal.

gotta get McDavid his cup...

first one was soft as shit, 2nd one should have been 4v4

The refs aren't going to call everything. When your power play is this weak, the other team is gonna play like bullies. They don't fear getting called.

1st period looked like the last 3. Have to be aggressive from this point forward. That was brutal.

I think this is right.  They could have been called for at least 3 more.  Doesn't seem like it would have mattered.  The first call on us was weak AF.  2nd one, Suter needs to move his fucking feet and not get in that position. He's just too fucking old.  He actually had a solid playoffs until this series all things considered but his legs are done.

So god damn frustrating.  Completely outplayed them 5 on 5 but give those fucks a PP and we are toast.

I mean outside of the power plays we pretty much dominated that period.   They (at least McDavid) are just too fucking good 5 on 4.   That first goal was insane.   That is just elite talent being elite.  Nothing we could do about it.

starting on 23 jan we went 7-1, then went 1-6, then 5-0, 0-2, then 8-0

we are 100% jekyll hyde

we have 40 minutes to change our STARS

0-2 isn’t a “streak” worth mentioning really. I’d say that was 13-2.

It's not my old assed legs, but the Oilers are attempting a 30 minute PK. Only way to break that is by out skating them. Gonna be exhausting.

lots of blind pass giveaways.  we are done.

I see nothing that gives me much hope at all in the third period. Skinner has the answer any time we get close. Otter is likely to let in another one.
