March 22, 20196 yr This doesn't bode well for Parsons. Johnny burns everything he touches. Parsons is already a fail on his own. In the 3 years with Memphis, he’s played in only 1/3 of their games, averaging 6.7 pts/gm. while earning $70mm

March 22, 20196 yr I hadn't realized San Antonio waived rights to JFF. I am suddenly a big fan, but I smell an aggy boycott coming.

March 23, 20196 yr I think the CFL banned him to save face because they knew the new league was going to lure him away.

March 23, 20196 yr Did she not see that he got himself one of those $250,000 aaf contracts? That’s thousands, with a t! Get it, gurl!
March 23, 20196 yr This was actually a brilliant business move on her part. She was just another Instagram “model”, but marry Johnny crackhead for a little bit and now she’s a well known Instagram model. Sponsored posts incoming.

Actually, it's pretty sound, fundamental football. As a developmental league, it's looking pretty good. Attendance varies from team to team, of course, but I've watched several games where there was actual, measurable crowd noise. WR play is probably the spottiest area across the league; QB play is generally not bad, but not spectacular. Garrett Gilbert is probably your league MVP so far, if that gives you any indication.

March 23, 20196 yr Just now, 'stache said: The few games I watched the qb play was terrible. Might be the downfall of the league. Spurrier is coaching Gilbert up and after this AAF season, Squints will probably have a long career as an NFL backup. He is about to go Derek Anderson/Colt McCoy on the NFL and collect million dollar paychecks for years. Manziel will be a flash in the pan again and will get what he can until he is hired as Billy Lucci's yard man.

Yeah, the bad ones are certainly bad, but the good ones are pretty good, so I'd say on average they are, well, average. But there's a reason San Antonio said "thanks but no thanks" to JFF. They may not be getting spectacular play, but it's not so pathetic that they need someone as bad as him, either.

Hackenberg must really be a suck if Memphis is willing to go with Manziel after half the season.

Its pretty good football. The league is made up of players on the cusp of making a practice NFL squad so there isn't any great talent on display but it's still good football. The games in San Antonio get close to 30k in attendance and it doesn't take much to make that place loud. Hopefully the league lasts. It would be nice if the NFL would cough up some pocket change and just buy the league.

Garrett Gilbert back in Texas and San Antonio fans traveling to Frisco to fill Jerry World lite. Spurrier for a few laughs and some good publicity.

March 30, 20196 yr Shocking news Johnny Manziel says his split with his wife, Bre Tiesi, is "very sad" -- but he's trying his best to stay focused on his football career. As we previously reported, Bre wiped Manziel from her social media pages and has publicly accused him of breaking their wedding vows ... a year after they were married. Now, Manziel is breaking his silence on the split ... without getting into the gory details. "This is all very, very personal and very sad," Manziel tells TMZ Sports ... "I appreciate everyone who has been so supportive of both of us and I would just ask that everyone respect our privacy at this difficult time."
March 30, 20196 yr He took it like a complete bitch, too. AAF had him mic'd up. I'd be interested in hearing that.

Squints going elsewhere after doing good on an Orlando pro team follows the Orlando tradition of Shaq and Howard and anybody else halfway decent.
March 30, 20196 yr Why is Manziel not in uniform today?? Just showed him during today's game sitting on a chair in the endzone tunnel eating some stadium food.... maybe nachos.

He WAS in uniform until he threw an interception and then got blown up with a concussion by one of his own players while trying to make the tackle. Out in the first quarter. You know, back in the day folks would have been interested in a Squints versus Johnny Football matchup but I don't think very many folks knew it happened.

Not great wording on this tweet : " Manziel is done for the game after taking a blow from his own teammate" They cut the best part of that play out of the video where Johnny Football was squirming on the field crying like a bitch and they were trying to calm him down. If you see the replay in slomo it wasn't a violent hit, a glancing blow at best. He's got a glass jaw.
