Blue and Bond talking and then golden going out and quietly getting it done is not exactly surprising.

I thought Bond would be faster. He did only look fast against shitty teams/pre injury for the most part though. That Golden time is shocking and awesome.

Bolden just made a ton of money and will get drafted at least 10 spots higher if not more.

His tape proves it more  as well since he's a tough ball catcher, clutch ball catcher, bad ball catcher...just whatever he's a gamer.

Golden is such a stud.

4.39 is going to mean that every time he's on the field he's gonna be one of the 2 or 3 fastest players on it.

In college, yes. In the NFL, it depends on the weekend. More than a dozen CBs ran sub-4.4 just this year. 3 WRs have so far. There were 20 sub-4.4s last season, 17 the year before that, 31 the year before that. The NFL is different. 4.39 is fast, but he's one of dozens and dozens at the next level. Xavier Worthy on the other hand, is the fastest on the field every time he steps on it, no matter the team, no matter the era. If Blue ran a 4.29 then, yes, he'd one of the 2 or 3 fastest every time. We know Blue is fast. I think some of us are disappointed that he wasn't as fast as we were hoping, and certainly not as fast as he said he was.

I mean, he ran the second fastest RB time at the combine. Yeah, Blues issues are well documented, but come on. It’s a good time.

I'm goddamn sick of all the Blue hate.  He's flawed, we all get it.  But it's fucking tedious to have his every molehill/tic blown up into a mountain.  Some of you seem to think of him as Johntay 2.0.  Give it a rest.

Ok so, overall and so far, Texas has 4 players running a 4.4 or better 40. (Barron, Blue, Bond, Golden)

KSU has 2.

Nobody else has more than 1.

I just think it's hilarious that Bond thought he could bust a 4.1x and then . . . well, he didn't.  Still suffering from injury?  Sure, maybe.  He didn't injure his vocal cords.

Wut? Bond has been running 4.2s in training

Guys... 4.4 is still really fucking fast. I get that those two talked shit but 4.4 is faster than anyone on multiple of the defenses we played last season.

You're right. I still had the screen for 2022 up. It's 9 now. Point is still the same.

golden was already going in the first round. he might go top 15-ish now.

Bond topping at 24 mph and top speed.

really really going to miss Golden

Bond pops up. No drive phase. Explains the high mph, slow time

Other than that guy from Kentucky and his 4.28.

NFL.com must be way behind. It's still only showing 7. Where are you tracking it?

Well he’s not a WR or CB. He’s a fast as fuck RB.

Okay. Thanks for clearing that up. I didn't think "2 or 3 fastest" differentiated by position. I would agree he'll be one of the 2 or 3 fastest RBs every time he steps on the field.

Not all those guys stick.  Since 2022, top 10 guys in the 40 are Kalinin Barnes, Tyquan Thornton, Velus Jones, Calvin Austin.  Several of things are rostered but have minimal impact this far.

I actually scanned back to 2018 the other day.  There were a number of guys that didn’t make much of an impact.

Saw an Edge ranking on the crawl that had both aggy in the top 5. They had a combined 6.5 sacks. Meanwhile 18 year old freshman Colin Simmons, playing much of the season as a rotation guy, had 9 sacks. Heard lots of excuses from aggy about the lack of production from those guys, none of which make sense to me.

Oh, I figured it out. NFL.com was showing CBs and Safeties separately. 9 DBs total.

Golden? Or Golden?

It's awesome to see this many Horns at the Combine and with a real shot at getting drafted. It's insane to think more could get drafted this year than last year.

Ward and Shadeur aren't throwing, correct?

Correct. They look the best of those throwing.

Wow on Golden.  Didn’t think he was that fast.  That should put him in front of Egbuka.

Actually in practice ornjust fooling around on YouTube, nobody looks better.

I wasn't correcting you I knew what you meant.

Believe Babers had like 12-15 WRs have broken a 4.3 40. Santana Moss is the only one to have a 1,000 yard season in the NFL

Quinns main problem is his film. It's not his drill performance.

Its that he's mentally handicapped when he gets shoved into the game.

That's an absurd take, but totally predictable coming from you.  He is a very good college QB.  Stop being stupid.

That’s a little surprising but not terribly so.  Probably a number of small guys and special teams guys that double as WRs.  But your boy Worthy is coming on.

Cook looked pretty solid.  Low propensity to turn it over.  Can move.  He may be an interesting prospect.

Also, people are talking about the combine in here. Drills are literally all there is.

What? No one in their right mind who's seen quinn throw against air thinks he sucks or isn't absolutely ELITE. He's been that way since he was like 11. He's a phenom.

He's also incredible when he's "on" (Alabama in Tuscaloosa, Michigan in Ann Arbor) and inexplicably fucking terrible at times (OK st, Georgia etc)
