March 2Mar 2 Man Gunnar is a fucking bad ass. Showing those scouts that toughness he brings to the field

Showing those scouts that toughness he brings to the field I get that he's TE4 or TE5 on most draft boards, but I haven't seen anyone play consistently better than Gunnar this season other than Tyler Warren. Harold Fannin is smallish, and the guy from LSU is a stop/start kind of F who did okay running R routes in college but is too underdeveloped a blocker to be true R, and I don't think he even ran the 40 at the Combine. Hopefully Gunnar's ankle heals up in time for Pro Day and he can rerun and get somewhere closer to Fannin's time.
March 2Mar 2 holy shit, i just now saw the will howard throwing session. i don’t think i’ve ever seen a worse performance from a qb at the combine.
March 2Mar 2 What's it look like so far post-Combine? First: Banks, Barron, Golden Second-Third: Bond, Sorrell Third-Fourth: Ewers, Collins, Williams Fourth-Fifth: Blue, Mukuba, Helm Fifth-Sixth: Helm Sixth-Seventh-UDFA: Majors, Broughton UDFA: Connor, Norton

Biggest issue is his injury history. He has the best arm talent in the draft. Kurt Warner mentioned how he is able to put an arc on the ball to get it over defenders - and he has plenty of tape of him doing that in games. he then compared that to Dart who throws a relatively flat ball. Not that Dart wasn’t good (he was) but that’s the kind of thing scouts notice. 40 minutes ago, AnotherLawyer said: Unless the Steelers trade down from 21, there's no one behind them that needs to draft a QB or even an insurance policy. The Rams have other needs but I wouldn’t be surprised if they took Ewers if the guys they want for other positions are off the board. He’s perfect to sit behind Stafford for a couple of years then take over. If Quinn drops to R2 there’s going to be a lot of teams who may trade up to get him.

Sark also mentioned while being interviewed that a strained oblique is still teared. I think that is where the confusion comes from with reporters saying strained or torn. There’s degrees to the injury. I remember Amon-Ra St. Brown played with oblique injury that was described as “torn off the bone.” That happened early in the season and he only missed a game or two I think.

A strain is a form of a tear. But tear sounds more serious when included in 280 characters. Not sure what Quinn is trying to do here. He could just be giving an honest answer to question. He could blaming fuck ups on the injury. NFL teams don’t give a shit if he was hurt or not. They just want to see him throw.

March 3Mar 3 I have not researched, but maybe I will, what teams want to see in these QB combine throwing sessions. You have QBs throwing to WRs they’ve never worked with previously and everything is working off timing. On the deep ball, I’d probably prefer an overthrow to an underthrow even though the underthrow will be caught. I would think they’d be interested in the QBs ability to move but also the feel on velocity. The interviews are most important here. There’s enough game tape on most of these QBs to evaluate their accuracy. Also saw Bond had the 2nd fastest top end speed (not sure who was first). That’s significant. Just don’t ask him to lineup in a sprinters stance.
