Blue and Bond talking and then golden going out and quietly getting it done is not exactly surprising.

What a dogshit QB draft

Yeah. It's not too surprising since last year looks like it was an all time great QB draft. I've seen a lot of scouts say Ward would be graded as the 4th or 5th best QB in last year's draft, and no one else this year would be in the top 7 or 8.

Forgive me for thinking that his inability to play QB decently at the college level will translate well to the pro level. 😉

Anthony Richardson was a top 5 pick based on physical tools. Milroe is a better thrower than him. Do none of yall pay attention to shit NFL looks at when drafting ?

hes a better Anthony Richardson.

He’s a poor man’s Anthony Richardson. His times and measurables are all lower, with the exception of 4.43 vs. 4.39.

He has more passing and rushing production though. I’d consider him a better prospect than Richardson and Richardson to be a poor man’s milroe

Taysom Hill 2.0

Miami all-world WR, Xavier Restrepo, ran a 4.9-5.1 40 at his pro day (he’s maybe 5’10”). This is the same dude that broke receiving records at a school that has had WRs like Michael Irvin, Reggie Wayne, Santana Moss, Andre Johnson, etc.

I think Lil’Jordan ran in the 4.8 range, but he was also 6’4”.

He is actually right. Richardson going top 5 is still a mystery to me. The guy completed slightly below 54% of his passes in his last year in college. That said you guys are arguing over who is the tallest midget

Anyone thinking of drafting Milroe before the 5th round should be forced to watch the Bama-OU and Bama-Michigan games on loop Clockwork Orange style.

Sure, as an actual QB prospect. I just meant as a pure athlete, since Milroe’s athleticism, rather than anything he’s done as a QB specifically, is what’s going to get him drafted.

As what? A receiver?

An athlete who tries to play QB?

but we've seen that already

so do we just not give a shit about pro day?

SEC Network (or +) had full coverage all day it looks like with Fozzy on the field reporting for each drill. I didn't get to watch it because it was during the day but I caught the tail end when I got home.

@NashTalksTexas has a lot of the video from the broadcast, you just have to scroll past the baseball game highlights

now that is peak bitchiness.  Who is more self important - sportswriters or Texas high school coaches?

Good post. Many of us knew and stated on here that Richardson was going to be a bust, and for the exact reasons being extolled on this thread. Milroe seems like a carbon copy other than taking more bullets in college. If that dude is drafted in the first round, or, hell, the fourth round, I will laugh out loud.

Eberts in a class by himself. I can’t believe he has media credentials. His site is terrible, he’s a terrible follow on Twitter, and he has no connections or insights.

So not only does Travis play multiple positions, his girlfriend does too?  Kinky.

So- Gavin Holmes might have gotten himself drafted yesterday, right?  Maybe?  I’d move it from like 5% to 35%.

I kinda hope he does. He was probably going to be solid if not for the move by Barron

Testing looked really good I thought. His tape isn’t bad. Don’t know if he’s big enough or tough enough  to fill a role on special teams or I’d have him likely to get drafted.

Good for Silas. Really rooting for him.

Hopefully he gets lots of UDFA offers and finds the right team that will give him a real chance.

Silas is going to make a roster and some team very happy. He's a baller.

I'd hope some GM watches Bolden's OU touchdown and that 40 time and decides he's worth a late round pick.  Hell, you know he can return punts too though I'd remind him that a fair catch is actually an option.

He’s not getting drafted.

That is a good thing, because he really needs to find the perfect situation.

Juan participated, I wonder if he'll go UDFA or maybe super late round after people see him today. I doubt it, but would be awesome for him.

Crickets from Gunnar, I guess me may not have run the 40 again?

I don’t wonder.  Zero percent chance he’s drafted or sticks on a roster.

I don’t get this. Why even lie? The teams that are interested will just measure him themselves right?

7 round mock on ESPN. Probably as good as you could ask for from a Texas player point of view.

Barron - 9 to NO - Rd 1

Golden - 18 to SEA - Rd 1

Banks - 23 to GB - Rd 1

Ewers - 40 to NO - Rd 2

Collins - 46 to ATL - Rd 2

Mukuba - 56 to BUF - Rd 2

Bond - 74 to CAR - Rd 3

Williams - 100 to SF - Rd 3

Helm - 110 to NYJ - Rd 4

Sorrell - 118 to ATL - Rd 4

Majors - 122 to DEN - Rd 4

Blue - 124 to GB - Rd 4

Broughton - 169 to BUF - Rd 5

Conner - 215 to LV - Rd 6

With Blue ripping off a pair of sub-4.3 sec 40s I'm not sure if he goes that far down.

I get that, but he wasnt even a starter for Texas. Possible someone falls in love with the speed, but top 3 rounds seems crazy given the film.
