Nice cold front ahead Thursday-Sunday, but wish we could push it back a few days. Current forecast for Christmas week sucks.

I'll be in Denver next week.

Not sure what's normal, but the forecast seems really mild for this time of year.

That matches more my expectations. I typically go up there for Thanksgiving, and even then, it's usually much cooler (highs in upper 40s) than this Xmas forecast. Hell, it even snowed once about a decade ago for the T-Day feast and at least a couple of times when it didn't get above freezing.

Yes, it has been quite mild here.  Downright fucking pleasant.

You’re not kidding.  I’ve just went outside and killed 3 of them in two minutes.  At least they are moving slow.

we're in Texas until Monday and i had forgotten what it was like to sweat in December.

Good news is that it will be nice and cool for most of the rest of the time you're here. Cool front arriving tomorrow evening and it shouldn't get above high 60's again until Monday.

Yep. 5 whole days of Fall weather, then over a week of late Spring again. Cloudy and 75 on Xmas day is just pure suck.

Christmas is the hottest day on and already warm 14-day forecast.  Or course lol

FYI, Off! makes a good stocking stuffer.

You know, for those stubborn Christmas mosquitos.

Foggiest morning I think I've ever experienced in Houston on the way to the gym this morning. 150% humidity.

Not ideal weather for the week of Xmas.

At least it looks like it should dry up and cool back down by NYE.

My kids just put their bathing suits on and just jumped in the pool.

Yesterday's high temperature at Camp Mabry:  77 F

Average high temperature for 12/23:  61 F

For pity's sake.  Merry Christmas.

Can it at least freeze once to kill the fucking mosquitoes?

Get you some good tamales and barbacoa.

I'm quite enjoying the 70 degree temps December in Austin. BBQing in shorts and flip flops is pretty sweet.

No shit. Being cold is very over rated. In fact it sucks.

So today has to be a record-setter, right? Forecast to hit 89 in Round Rock. Cool...

Had the news on in the background after MNF. Weather dude said we shattered the daily all-time record and today's high was one degree off the all-time high for for the month of December (90 in 1955).

And so to tie it into a nice tidy bow….

2024 was the warmest year on record for Austin with an average temp of 72.7F

Shattering the previous record of 72.2F in, you guessed it, 2023.

And that after a "mild" summer.
