Has anyone offered an amendment to allow tracking of student's menstrual cycles yet?   Cause you know its coming...

All I know is I have gone my entire life having never seen any publicity at all for a school board election, and suddenly all of Katy is treating this one like a presidential election.  Just an unimaginable amount of signs in people's yards.  They're coming for the kids.

Good catch

There were a couple really contentious HPISD school board elections in the last 2-3 years but it seems to have calmed down a little bit as a lot of the parents who were reacting to mask mandates and what-not have removed their kids to private schools. They were COVID/CRT driven and one candidate was given like $30K by a Mississippi businessman.

Watching the news, it appears that this has spilled out into the GQP-heavy suburbs such as Keller, Southlake, Prosper, Grapevine, etc.

Oklahoma as well

The Oklahoma Secondary School Activities Association (OSSAA) has updated the high school sports pre-participation physical evaluation (PPE) form. It’s raising eyebrows after they added new questions asking girls intimate details about their monthly cycles.

OSSAA officials told News 4 the decision to update this form comes after they discovered “Oklahoma was 2 versions behind most of the country in our PPE.”

However, some parents are wondering who is receiving this information and how it will be used.

“We really need information from these forms for very practical good purposes. The problem is this obsession with genitalia from people… It’s created a climate of fear about sharing information because parents and guardians have to be worried about their child’s right to bodily autonomy and personal privacy,” said Rev. Lori Walke, minister at Mayflower Congregational United Church of Christ in Oklahoma City.

New questions added to the OSSAA PPE form includes new questions targeted at high school woman athletes. It asks questions about their menstrual periods.

Those questions include:

Have you ever had a menstrual period?
How old were you when you had your first menstrual period?
When was your most recent menstrual period?
How many periods have you had in the last month?

twitter pushed a national review article to me yesterday with the headline "we need to inject more politics into school board elections."  the exact sort of contrarian bullshit the world has devolved into.  you know how much of a nightmare the adult world is? let's make the child's world like that too.

It is incredible how these people get elected. So few people follow school board electrions that GQP has started to monopolize things like their did with judges.

Fort Bend County is moving closer to Katy ISD because of the apathy... less than 4% voted last week.

These clowns got clobbered in round rock. Once everyone saw what they were all about they showed up.

Here in aggy East you have a choice between shitty, shittier, and shittiest.  I have four years left with kids in this shitass ISD.  I hope the last one gets out before it totally collapses.

This is why I am never having kids.  Go ahead, replace them with immigrants.  I'm doing my part.
