May 6May 6 Thinking about doing some over landing in Big Bend, either state or fed park. I know there are lots of primitive camp sites (I don’t have a sleeping set up in my rig) at the park that you have to overland to but wanted to see if anyone had particular routes/spots to recommend?
May 6May 6 Author Two places I've found to get good places to go onx offroad app has a ton of little trails that go from 1 hour to 6 hours: they have an app or you go to their website: https://www.onxmaps.com/offroad/app Overland trail guides has curated 2-10 day planned out trips including one for big bend: https://www.overlandtrailguides.com/post/big-bend-adventure-route The only overland trails they had in the area I was in were closed due to snow so I just used onx to find a bunch of small trails to go on. The snow and rain today ruined the trails I was going to go to so I'm heading back to Austin now, will write up a full trip report in the next few days
